Hello sir, I want to understand a little more about the amount of physics and maths involved. I have mostly lagged behind in these subjects, which is why I'm scared to opt for DNB NM. As the physics and maths are important and I'm not sure how difficult it is in the curriculum. Could you please shed some more light on this, thankyou!
@Aisha-qf5wy2 жыл бұрын
Also, all the DNB NM courses have a single seat. Is that a disadvantage in terms of the workload and overall learning experience?
@jackyjack96602 жыл бұрын
It's not rocket science... But yeah you can go on all levels in nuclear medicine... If you want it simple or want to be in research... It's a new field so seats are limited...
@umeshmehta51322 жыл бұрын
The physics of nuclear medicine isn't quantum level physics & is restricted to basics of nuclear radiation physics & instrumentation. Also there isn't any maths in Nuclear medicine to be worthy of called as complex mathamatics. So fear of studying physics & maths should not be a criteria to select this branch for PG. There is only basic physics that any one with average IQ will pass. Secondly in actual clinical setting the physics part is taken care of by dedicated Nuclear medicine physicists/ technologists who are integral part of NM team. So there is no need to worry as such. Hope it helps

@@saratkesav8751 Any and every branch for PG at Amrita is world class. I'm a Keralite, and a doctor too. The availability of latest infrastructure and modalities at Amrita is insane. They have professors from different parts of the world too. Patients from all over India and abroad too. Some departments could be really hectic and draining though. Don't know about the toxicity. But the facilities and variety of rare diseases, are beyond our imagination.. Because the fact is, excluding a handful of filthy rich institutes like Amrita and Manipal in India, medicos elsewhere in the country would never even get to see or hear about those kinds of diseases or treatment modalities or equipments in our lifetime...
