In his case, I think Xiaomi have (sort of) refined their manufacturing process over the years, so gone the days of having to replace the old defective eMMC chips on early Mi and Redmi devices. Of course, it's not purely perfect, for example some Poco models have hardware problems, but it's good for the most part.

Would you be interested in making a video on common mistakes when going back from a custom ROM to stock ROM? I'm most interested in Motorola devices, with A/B system. What would be the safest way to go back to stock, so that users don't risk bricking their devices? How to fix (if there's a way to fix) errors such as: "No valid operating system could be found. Device will not boot." when relocking the bootloader (even on stock ROM)? Boots fine while bootloader unlocked. Once you lock the bootloader, you get the error above. Or why does RSA show this error: "Fastboot flash single partition. Flash failed. Please try again." when trying to reflash stock ROM (with locked bootloader, and in the scenario mentioned above)? Also, how to fix that. Is there a way? Stuff like that. I couldn't find a video about this on your channel. So maybe it would be nice to have one, if you want.

It depends if your phone has offcial gcam port then there is no problem what so ever , my mi a1 does not have official one so i just use one after trying out 3-4 gcam apk the one that works best it still crash with some feature but overall i am ok with that and picture quality is very much near to the stock one i had both phone and compared them and some time the colors are better in gcam ..

I don't know about the first question being a stock feature on the ROM, but you could probably use some app to do that for you, and for the second, yes, it will be easy, it's the same process

It's been about 2 years now using pixel experience plus rom on my PocoF1.... I would have never went into Rooting and custom roms but all thanks to Xiaomi... You forgot the best part. Custom roms can save you MASSIVE amounts of money. Redmi note 10 pro with 2k coupon and 5k off via trading old phone dropped to 10k. A motorola Edge 30 with the same 2k coupon and 5k off would drop to 30k. And yet the motorola would not be faster than a redmi note 10 pro with arrow os. Its camera wouldn't be that much better than a note 10 pro with gcam. Its battery life would actually be way lower (7 hours vs 11-12 hours). Its storage isn't faster, screen isn't better either. Its processor is good but not 30k good.

@@ritikdangol Ok. So, for xiaomi you have the mi unlock tool. First you gotta create a mi account. Then unlock developer options on your phone. In developer options, enable OEM unlocking. Then you must have a computer with mi unlock installed. After that you must have the adb drivers and all xiaomi related drivers installed. Then boot your phone into fastboot and connect it to your computer with mi unlock open on your computer. Then you should see you phone be displayed in mi unlock as a bunch of letter and numbers. You should be able to unlock your phone's bootloader now. Might have to wait a week though. Its a time limit imposed by xiaomi.

1. It depends on what phone your using , for all the Xiaomi users they can get there stock camera app in any custom rom in the name of #ANX_Camera , and there are other alternatives like #gcam which is much better. But you will have minor issues with your camera applications in custom rom like slow-motion doesn't work and sometimes camera app crashes suddenly.... 2. Yes you can go directly but you have to be on latest update of your phone 3. Yes you can get back to your stock rom, just download the stock rom and flash :)

Yes it did, it's a hardware thing, so it won't matter if you're on a custom ROM or not. By the way, the resistance of the wire also increases with time, so bear that in mind.

No, it is that you should have an unlocked bootloader ,and it's safe and easy..having a custom recovery like orange fox with an OTG or sd card can be very useful....and i recommend pixel os ,it has inbuilt stock camera.

As far as I know .. custom rom are designed for specific devices...u can't just install any rom in any device...if the rom is specifically not made for ur device then it's dangerous ..and your device may get stuck in bootloop...Hope this help ..( Do research please )

Go to the service centre man, it's an hardware type of fault that happened to my device also and i got it repaired for free at the centre as it has warrenty. And yes the motherboard board started failing and in my device the whole motherboard got replaced😅

I'm extremely tempted to give pixel animations and looks of android 12 a go! (my current phone is a mi 8 running on android 10). Everyone has to start somewhere :) Follow tutorials (either mine or other's) and double check whether you're using the right file for your phone, and nothing will happen that's gonna destroy your phone. All the best !

@@bsatyam am pretty sure um, what what the issue is really is that even if the models are similar there is a difference and what I assume I didn't have time to check what your device was but what I assume is that one is the pro model. So the other would be a non-pro model right and they have hardware features that might not align, maybe one of them has a different Wi-Fi model so that's Wi-Fi model would not work on your version, that's the that's the basic

not quite but they tend to be buggy, I am currently using Realme C2 and there are not alot of Official Custom ROMS.

They are safe if it's open source but yeah as the comment above said that it tends to be buggy because only a small group of developers are working on it unlike officials roms

Hey so I have a doubt. I recently installed Cherish OS on my redmi note 11 pro plus. I absolutely loved the rom. But when I was charging the battery, my phone became so hot that it was getting difficult to hold it. I was really concerned and switched back to MIUI.

Hi Rohit, Thanks for making this video I HAVE A VIDEO IDEA FOR YOU , I hate MIUI on my Redmi phone and wants to get into vanilla ROM I have been looking for videos about custom ROM installation, One thing I have noticed is that none of the youtubers or websites talk about privacy and security these customs ROMs are. Also the most reliable ROM I have found was Google's official Generic System Image - GSI for android 12. But PixelExperience is much more tempting, but not sure if I can trust the developers. Is it possible for you to make a video on flashing Google's official GSI for android 12 following official guidelines (Only using ADB fastboot instead of third party bootloader like TWRP/Orangefox), I couldn't find any video all over KZbin which does it. I wish to see a clean install, please make a video on this For me Privacy is of utmost importance, as the developer who is building these custom roms can easily sneak in malwares into the sourcecode. What is your take on this? Do you think that PixelExperience ROM is reliable? I have noticed that it is being made by XDA team, but still.. Please compare PixelExperience to Official GSI

If you're concerned about privacy use pixel experience rom and pixel experience recovery. Those does the job well. Also the whole pixel experience stuff is open source software, meaning the code is publicly available. If there's malware, sure people will find and put about this and will cancel pixel experience software.

Yes, you can install a custom rom and decide not to root it which is usually done on top of the rom whether custom or official. The real issue is in order to install a custom rom or just root your device, you have to unlock your bootloader. The risks of using an unlocked bootloader and custom roms have been covered in the video, which may or may not be easy to mitigate depending on your device.

First, you need to make sure that you have kernel sources available for your phone. You can't just build a custom rom for any phone that is out in the market.
