This is an excellent review and an AMAZING fragrance. This is a must buy for all Chypré lovers. For me, one of the most important things about fragrance is how it makes you feel, this makes me feel majestic. There are only two fragrances that have made me feel majestic; Diaghilev and Chypré Extraordinaire.

This is class! I picked up the 7.5ml in January even though I own MDCI Chypre Palatin which was 85% similar that 15% difference was that impressive. Like a Padron 1926 Habano vs a Padron 1964 both are great but separate by just one nuance.

Nice review! I have a spray sample of this juice sent to me by Jovoy Paris and to my nose the dry down of this fragrance smells like Ashtray, crushed cigarette butt, powder and medicinal cloves. Lol It gives me real headaches and I don't know why.

Excellent review as usual. I've tried it, and it's a bit too "classic" for lack of a better word for me. I just can't appreciate the likes of mitsouko, jicky and this. That being said, you can tell it is a well made fragrance. I wish Amber Aoud had the same level of performance can it would be a perfect fragrance.

This is 10/10....I mostly own all from his line and yes, they are freakin expensive but there are NO alternatives for Roja's work. that's the reason they are exquisite. They are very complexed and smell rich. Nice review by the way. Cheers!

It's the wisest thing to do, to buy 7.5 ml. I always say that I do not wear perfume for others to enjoy, I simply wear perfume for me. The problem I see with diaghilev is that I know that most of the people next to me are not going to like it, and that would make me feel uncomfortable. I would buy 7.5ml and enjoy it at home

This fragrance is very similar to an Opium oil I bought from a middle eastern shop owner. I sprayed Diaghilev on and put my oil on and I can't tell the difference between the two. After making this discovery, I couldn't see myself spending 1000 plus dollars on a scent that I have for much much less.

a very beautiful description !! 👍ready to appreciate this perfume you have to be a connoisseur of raw materials and scents and therefore this perfume is not for everyone ... those who had already felt the Musk Tonkin ..musk of cashmir ... musk from Tibet ... from the civet ... from Tubereuse ... from the dyeing of oak moss ... I'm talking here about the natural and not the molecular synthesis of what I'm talking about !!! ..I have god thank you perfume ... and it will be forever, !!

A spendy little devil, but your enthusiasm is patent. I have tested several Rojas, and all have been excellent, but this one sounds especially fine. Will seek out a decant, mahalos!

@@tonyg4438 cool enjoy it. Another recommendation would be Mitsouko by Guerlain. Many say it’s similar. Now I used to own the EdP and don’t get the similarities so I guess people mean the EdT, which I’ve never tried.

It's interesting... every reviewer I have watched attempting to review Diaghilev struggles at some point. I guess it's to be expected in an attempt to find the right description of the Mona Lisa of modern perfume.

Is it me or does this smell excatly like kourous by ysl that's what I got when I smelt it ?

This is true although they can partially paint a picture in your mind and when you actually sample the fragrance that will complete it for you. Or maybe what the reviewer says is nothing like what you get on your skin!
