This is an excellent review and an AMAZING fragrance. This is a must buy for all Chypré lovers. For me, one of the most important things about fragrance is how it makes you feel, this makes me feel majestic. There are only two fragrances that have made me feel majestic; Diaghilev and Chypré Extraordinaire. Both from the master perfumer himself; Mr. Roja Dove.

I find that blackcurrant is often used in place of animalics in modern perfumery to give them a slightly dank and musky tone. Very well reviewed.

I was sampling haute luxe which came with a small spray sample of this. It took me a few weeks to get used to haute luxe and it’s the same with this. The black currant is so dank.

I was not a big fan of diaglieve at first but after spending some time with it, I started appreciating the art of the fragrance. It always reminds me of fragrance du Boise heritage

Congratulations on your line. Can you explain the difference between benzoin and styrax ingredient? they both seem to be coming from the same tree.

Thanks! The standard naming of these two is confusing, styrax (liquidamber) is from liquidambar styraciflua while benzoin comes from styrax tonkinensis for example...different species from my understanding...they smell different too since styrax is much darker with a leather incense facets while benzoin has vanilic and slightly spicy cinnamon like facets that can play well in an amber accord vs styrax which can play well in a leather accord.

Diaghilev far superior to mitsouko i tried mitsouko parfum its meh to me but diaghilev my favorite fragrance of all time

Ali we seem to have similar tastes.. Diaghilev is big, complex, baroque, opulent and smells very expensive.

I do experience lingering smell where I sprayed over 24hrs but I have to burry my nose to get it...on clothes tho it's another story...it lasts forever. Proj3xtion is not that great on me tho. Thanks for watching!
