Thank you for the comment, sir. Building plastic kits is no longer easy for many modelers because some gurus and specialist magazines make it difficult by imposing techniques that seem straight out of alchemy books, ; )

This is a Dora D-9 8.JG301 Blue 15, Straubing Bavaria, 1945. This plane was illustrated by Shigeru Nohara for the cover of Aero Detail 2 Fw190D. The profile of the same plane was illustrated by Asisbiz and even Tamiya produce two kits -1:72 and 1:48 about the same machine. That is to say, for everyone it is a Dora. But apart from the painting and markings, the model was built following the best source of specifications and technical drawings from the Focke Wulf factory. Compare the D9 with all the Ta 152 versions; there are many differences. You are probably referring to Ta 152 Blue 15 (long nose different fin and rudder); it is a different plane. Please show your references.

Another amazing Masterpiece ! Do you ever get to a part and think what am I going to make that out of ? Or do you already know what materials you use universally ?
@rojasbazan14 күн бұрын
Chris, thanks a lot for the subscription. For many years I have known what I am going to make each piece of. I had my doubts at the beginning because everything was "experimental" for me, as I had no guide or guru to follow. 95% of my models are made from aluminum of various thicknesses, except for the clear parts and tires. I'll explain everything in my tutorials.

Phenomenal skill and infinite patience! May I ask, were the 87 models you made for the museum also scratch built from metal like your larger models? Thank you for sharing your talent!
@rojasbazan10 күн бұрын
Thank you, Pete. The place is the Museo Naval de la Nación, located in Tigre, Buenos Aires, and the scale is 1:40. I also made 10 models (some in 1:10 scale) for the Museo Nacional de Aeronautica. Those models (and others, like the 1:15 Curtiss P-40) are recorded on VHS and here are the links: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWebdnyggpysrKs kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5etfZx_gsyfn7s

These 87 models were "experimental"; the frames are made of wood and the covering is made of aluminium sheet, except for the Dornier Wal and the Supermarine Southampton, which are made of fabric.
