3 Things: 1: I noticed how you took ques from The Mad Priest (aka your best track), and I thought that was genius. 2:, I would've never guessed you would do Jazz, but I am here for it. And I want more. 3: The melody is so good, I don't think this song deserves to just stay as jazz. We need a 100% gothic orchestral version, a rock version, an EDM version, as many versions as humanly possible.

Never would have expected the brass instruments for those jazz elements, but I am actually here for it. I suppose quite a few people were expecting the dark, gothic, heavy percussion elements instead but in retrospect I think that would have been too cliche so I'm glad you did something more alternative - given the title and theme. Now that I have listened to the entire album, I am going to give my thoughts and constructive criticism. First, let me begin by ranking the songs by my preference. Then, I shall give thoughts about each song and then end with final thoughts on the album as a whole. 1. The Cube 2. Faceless 3. Transcendence 4. Blood Moon 5. Waves 6. Sicilian Defense 7. Stealing From the Fridge at 2AM 8. Her Gaze I put The Cube 1st because it is, what I view, as classic Rok. It’s got the slow buildup, the epic drop, and I find it the best on the album-at least right now. I put Faceless 2nd because it is also amazing. The new sounds you used were perfect for the track, and the discordant chimes gave it a mood worthy of its title. Transcendence is 3rd because the drop is powerful. It’s only third though because the buildup just doesn’t quite hit the spot for me, but the end makes up for it. Blood Moon is 4th because it is a nice, slow score that could be the rise and fall of a main character. I like the trumpet, but I don’t like the part with the hi-hats, snares, and more jazzy drums as much. I’ll touch on that more in a bit. I placed Waves at 5th because it is such an emotional-sounding song. It would be perfect for writing tragic scenes in a book, and has such a beautiful, sad mood to it. Next is Sicilian Defense at 6th. I think the drums and guitar did not fit into the song. At first, it sounded great, but then the hi-hats and snares came and I was somewhat let down. Then the guitar hit, and that took me away from the vibe of the song entirely. 7th is Stealing From the Fridge at 2AM because it is not something I’d listen to regularly lol. It does show you are a man of culture, Rok, and it is quite funny, but I won’t rank it that high. Last, in 8th, is Her Gaze. I hate to say it, but the song just missed the mark for me. It didn’t have any drop-but neither did Waves. Waves pulled that off masterfully, but Her Gaze was just not it for me. I liked it at first, but it got too repetitive for me, and I feel it was missing something. Now, I’ll give my final thoughts. I’m not going to sit here and say “I can do better!” because I know I can’t. Maybe if I practiced for years and learned under you, Rok, I could hope to reach your level lol. I just want to give my honest opinion so I can, hopefully, help you get even better than where you are now. Overall, I think the album was great. I could see it being used for a number of movies, but I mainly rated it off of personal listening preference. If I was looking for a movie soundtrack, I might rearrange the order some based on the technical skill of each song. As one guy listening, I enjoyed a large majority of the songs. The reason I put the ones with guitar and drums below some of the others is because I don’t like them in epic-style music. I know views on that may vary, but I think they take away from the vibe of the song. It takes me away from the epic scene the music has painted, and instead makes me think of rock concerts and drummers. I find it a distraction that robs the song of its glory. Plus, it makes me focus on that instead of everything else. In the end, I congratulate and thank you for putting in the time and effort into making your first album! You have given us a list of amazing songs already, and you’ve only added to the collection with this. I prefer the more epic, dark, intense tracks, but I know some of it is more geared towards more emotional moments, and I think those songs mostly worked with the theme well. I hope your career continues to go on, and that you will be recognized for your amazing work. I hope to hear your music in blockbusters some day. I hope this was helpful, and keep on grinding, Rok!
