My Grandfather built a house in Hvar, the cove directly next to Pokrivenik, in 1987. After the Yugoslav wars, he found his house in Croatia and apartment in Bosnia so he alternates between the two, depending on the season. He adapted his house for tourists and I grew up spending summers in Hvar. Hvar has stunning nature and literally anywhere out of town where you can access the water is considered a beach. My favourite type is the giant boulders you can jump from.

That was a great guided tour, thank you. I should have been in Hvar just as this video was published so it was good to be reminded of what I have to look forward to when I'm able to visit again. I have been to croatia four times and visited Hvar on a day trip so hopefully next year I will be able to visit and stay longer.

Surprised, that you haven´t reported about Vrboska. The first Croatian revolutioner lived there. The middle age fishermen village has the highest density of churches and bridges/inhabitants in the world!! Therefore also called Little Venice. Has 2 UNESCO protected attractions! Here you find the best beaches on Hvar Island, so many islanders are coming to bath in Vrboska. In Vrboska there is an unique and important fishing museum. In Vrboska you find the roots of the world record vehicle driver Gary Gabelic!

Hi, I really like your videos. I have just shy of 4 days in Hvar including travel time to/from Split. We hope for a lot of beach time and to check out some different popular beaches along with the Paklini Islands, climbing the fortress, Hvar town, Jelsa and Stari Grad. I noticed that you didn't mention visiting Brac Island as a to 10 thing to do as well as the Blue Cave/Vis tour. I've sene a lot of complaints about the Blue Cave that it is a big hassle with lost of waiting around to only see it for a few minutes and people saying they wish they just relaxed at the beach instead. How do you think I should break down my 4 days in Hvar, arriving around 11am and leaving around 3 or 4pm on the last day? Do you recommend a day trip or more time to relax on the island and why? TIA!!
@rokgoesaround7 ай бұрын
Yes those two places are extremly popular and overcrowded for their size. And Hvar should be the opposite with secluded coves and empty inland. That is why they are not on my list.

Before you travel to Croatia, please type Jasenovac in your search to find more about Croatia. Thank you

oh another Chetnik who is jealous of Croatia's beauty. Before you travel to Serbia, please type in Srebrenica, Vukovar, Skabrnja and so on. Or in short: the war on Croatia from 1991 - attacked by Serbs. It's incredible how by far the most aggressive nation from ex Yu constantly shits on Croatia's past and completely ignores their own.
@ВаљевојеЗапСрбија Жыл бұрын
@@kani9284 It is incredible that the biggest genocide of entire history of Balkan peninsula............... a genocide committed by Croats in Independent State of Croatia...... is being compared with civil Yugoslavian wars? It is disgusting. Same way, Gestapo was disgusted by Croatian atrocities and children concentration camps during genocide in ww2.

Croatia is indeed a beautiful place. I 'm here at this moment and was here peacekeeping in 1999. But I fail to see why going to Stari Grad is where I should go to see celebrities. If I wanted to see celebrities I would run off to Hollywood, New York or Rome maybe. Who the hell goes on holidays to mix with celebrities....as if@#$%^&* People don't go to Hvar to see celebrities pal....
