Hey Craig - I have this Astrodynium setup and am wondering if you have a solution for camera rotation? Seems like you have to take the belt off in order to rotate the lens to frame up the target. Kind of a hassle to do in the dark.

No I don’t have a solution. I believe you’re correct that you need to release the belt to rotate the lens.

@@CraigStocksArts I also has the Samyang+Astrodymium. It would be marvelous if the EAF offered disconnect the motor clutch so it could move freely. What I do to frame is move the focus position using the EAF to the middle of the barrel (1.5m position or so), then I loose the brackets a bit to rotate the whole OTA carefully while keeping the outer ring of the Samyang fixed (and thus, the belt). Then, I reposition the focus position close to infinity using the EAF to perform a plate solving and double check orientation. When I'm finally set, I tighten the brackets. It is a bit cumbersome but much much faster than release the belt, specially as I have a power distribution box and a minipc attached to the other side of the brackets, which make access to the bell quite difficult.
