nub question: what is minimum focus distance using a cropped sensor? I'm fairly new to photography and have been considering purchasing this lens but I am kinda worried it isn't what I'm looking for.

ws grayling We filmed this on a Canon Rebel T4i, which has a APS-C sensor. With this sensor, 35mm crops at 56mm (1.6).

Glad you liked it. The Rokinon 35mm is our "go to" lens. We normally use it with our Sony A7s. The combination is great for low light shooting.
