Great to be out in the wild again and having solo camping adventures out on the ocean. I have wanted to camp on this uninhabited island for a long time, it didn't disappoint but it wasn't easy😅 Catch and cook fish and a night under the stars. So good🤙

I use my hiking tarp for camping on the boat -couple of poles and a bit of thought. I use the same tarp for hunting in the high country. A ground sheet also of course. Plenty of ventilation and dozens of possibilities for a couple of hundred bucks. Kills several birds.

For zippers on tents and backpacks etc used regularly around salt, spraying a bit of wd40 or something like it on them every couple trips helps stop them from jamming up and corroding. Good for freeing up stuck ones too.

Welcome Rod to boat ownership of a boat that you can't just drag onto a beach! LOL. I've had boats like your new one and in big tides, you have to rig up a pulley system whereby you can pull the boat in or out depending on the tide. It requires a rear anchor, and two swivel, and two pulleys that can withstand a lot of abuse from waves and tides. You put the front anchor on the beach and just pull the boat in or out as required. P.S. It's spelt "'CAYE"'

@doraexplora9046

To be fair to Rod. It's kind of illegal, or at least, not PC to anchor on the reef. The reef is in poor enough condition in the first place. So Rod is doing the right thing. If the tech doesn't hold up, that's another issues for Rod to solve.
