Of all the Australians, you are my favorite to watch. You are relaxed. This constant screaming from others, this whataaaaaap uuuuiiiii, tiiiuuu, puuuiii, over-thought-out behavior that is supposed to convey a feeling of action is getting on my nerves. Probably because I don't have ADHD. Stay as you are! I like that. Greetings from Germany mate.

When I was young we used to run around, never enough time to stop and enjoy where we were at. Then one drizzley, warm, still day, I was hiking in the forest up here in Canada, and I decided to sit down a little, when I noticed movement at my feet. It was just some bugs doing there thing, then I noticed more, and more of the tiny things I never noticed. There was so much life and stuff going on all around me. I was so fascinated by it all, and I enjoyed it the rest of the afternoon. Since that day, I’ve learned to slow down sometimes and really investigate what’s around me, instead of rushing off to the next spot. So I totally understand your story about adventuring with other people.

Mates are great to go with, but while mine are compliant and happy to do what I want, I always feel like I should be considering what they like to. I'm always watching your videos (while I have Google Earth open) trying to work our exactly where you are...and dreaming about going to the same places. Keep it up...because as you get older, it all gets a bit harder (logistics, weather, towing boats long distances, grand kids, etc). Ta

Really like your videos. Would like to do some island camping as well. I am planning to do some camping around peel island/jumpinpin and some area that are not that remote and looking for some advice. Do you find it is easier to use the inflatable boat because you can pull the boat onto beach and don't have to worry about the tides or anchor dragging? Like the safety of Stabicraft but just not that confident to leave the boat on the water overnight. Thanks in advance.
@rokkitkitКүн бұрын
@@Eden19850218 yes it’s an advantage to be about to drag the boat up and know it’s safe. But you need to weigh that up with everything else. If you’re doing long trips out into the ocean then safety on the water can be more important then being able to beach the boat. The inflatable is great for close islands and even though I have taken the inflatable on islands further out, I get beaten up by the sea and have pushed it to its limits.. eventually i decide I needed a bigger boat as well to go further and not get so beaten 😅 so I got the 1450. It has been great to have both. There’s always a trade off. Even now because I’m going further each time the Stabicraft being an open boat has me getting g completely soaked and beat up on 3-4 hour runs each way sometimes in bad weather. The inflatable would simply be out of the question. So it’s all about compromise. slowly building confidence in anchoring the boat too. I’m getting better each time… but I won’t lie, anchoring the boat is one of the most stressful things about the journey 😁

Had a good cook with my old boy (dad) last night, we had no luck with the fish or the crabs, but thats why we also brought chops. not a fancy feed, looked a mess, but damn tasted good. cookup on the beach with a sunset, he managed the chops on coals, I did onion and tomato stuffed mushrooms. fancy dining in Europe is nice, and pretty special. greasy chop on the beach with a beer and a sunset (and the 'salad' is drenched with molten cheese), really doesn't get better. even if its just by yourself, as Rod here has demonstrated as a 'mental health day'. make something simple and eat it with your toes in the sand as the sun goes down. its good for the soul.

Hey Rokkit Kit, I am only making a suggestion, No one though likes new mexico since it is a slight boring state. However it does have some decent fishing, at least in an amateurs eyes. Nice camping though. There are 2 suggestions, One is Navajo lake, In New Mexico I haven't been there in a while but canoeing down the river that connects to the lake has nice scenery, The other suggestion is fish lake in Utah, has a lot of fish and nice water. Fish Lake is a favorite location for camping. And obviously there is Alaska being a great place to ice fish and do other types of fishing.
