The style does look like vector art, but not so much minimalist. The style reminds me of art deco. You ever see PBS' Hercule Poirot series? There's an intro to it with music and artwork, interwoven with Poirot's image. That artwork is art deco style. Colorful, cartoonlike but sophisticated, bold colors, etc.

I love this new screensaver. So far I’ve seen Spider-Man, Marry Poppins, Star Wars, King Kong, Jaws, Alcatraz, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, A Christmas Story, Iron Man/Avengers, Superman, Wizard of Oz, Titanic, Dr. Who, Singing in the Rain, and Ninja Turtles. There are others that I don’t know for sure, so I’m going to guess. Hunt for Red October, Forest Gump, Adams Family, The Hobbit, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Not sure what the giant dinosaur, giant robot, or the space ship represent.
