Roku wireless soundbar vs the roku streambar pro. I'm not finding a lot of specific information on which one is better, or are they the same? Basically, what is the difference in sound quality of the Wireless soundbar vs the sound quality of the streambar pro?

They're basically the same sound quality wise. The TV wireless soundbar only works with Roku TV. It has a limited amount of devices that can connect to it. I think only the bass can connect to it. Can't remember if wireless speakers can as well or at the same time. The streambar has Roku built in so it would duplicate Roku if you had a Roku TV. It's good if you don't own a Roku TV. It can connect to bass and wireless speakers at the same time.

So I got the plus series 55 inch which is Dolby atmos but I read the wireless soundbar doesn't support Dolby atmosphere does that mean that the tv speakers will sound better? Is there even a point on buying this for my tv?

It may only sound better if you are watching Dolby supported content. Most content should sound better with the soundbar.

You should be able too. You can't have both the subwoofer and the wireless speakers connected at the same time.

Can I connect the soundbar wireless to a my Roku express 4k+?

No. This soundbar only connects to Roku TVs. Roku does have other soundbars with Roku operating system built inside that you can connect to any TV, but it wouldn't use your Roku Express 4k+.

My general experience is if you have the soundbar you don't need an additional subwoofer.

Hi there, mine does not even say “updating sounbdar”. Nothing I do works for my Roku TV to find my Roku Soundbar. Any advice? I’ve tried calling the number, resetting the device for 10 seconds, etc.

You own a Roku TV by Roku? So right now the soundbar isn't playing audio?

You would connect your phone to the Roku TV and that would play the audio through the speaker.

Please help me decide which to get. I have a Roku TV, 2 Roku wireless speakers (which I use as front speakers), and Roku wireless subwoofer. I do not want to sacrifice the wireless speakers, but I don't understand why I need the stream bar too. I want to stay all Roku. I have, and have used the smart stream (Roku), but I want something bigger, with more punch. I guess I could go back to using the small streambar, and make due, but I'd prefer not to if I can avoid that. Or I could buy 2 more speakers.

Avoid the streambar if you already own a Roku TV. You can use the Roku wireless soundbar and then put the two wireless speakers behind you. Or you could have a total of four wireless speakers, two in front, two in rear.

@@davewelike Thank you. Perhaps I misunderstood the Roku literature, but it seemed to say that the Roku wireless soundbar is not compatible with the Roku wireless speakers. do you have that set-up, and if so, how does it work for you?

@@matthewrobinson4323 "Expandable with Roku Wireless Bass or Roku Wireless Bass Pro subwoofers Expandable to wireless 4.1 surround sound only with Roku Plus Series TV, Roku Wireless Bass / Bass Pro subwoofers, and Roku Wireless Speakers" So if you don't have that TV it won't be compatible. Then doing 4 wireless speakers still gives you the surround sound. I use the Roku Smart Soundbar because I have a Sony TV. I also have the subwoofer and two wireless speakers. I don't use the subwoofer too frequently.The wireless speakers are fun for surround sound.

@@matthewrobinson4323 Yeah it'll work but to me the annoyance would be that you would have two Roku devices. You'd have to load your Roku on your TV then Roku on your streambar. Does your streambar have the optical port? Maybe it'll read the audio from your Roku TV so you don't have to use the Roku on your streambar.

No this soundbar is only for Roku TVs. Roku sells soundbars that have Roku inside. You would replace your Roku stick.

It is a TCL soundbar that, I believe, only works with TCL Roku TVs. It doesn't work directly with other Roku streaming devices. I have a TCL Roku TV, but didn't want to connect the TV to the internet. For two years, I've been using a Roku Stick in the HDMI port. But, I recently got this TCL soundbar in an online auction and the only way it would work was to connect the TV to the internet. Only then would it show up in the Aduio settings as an option for pairing. I still don't know how it works. Nothing in the specs suggest that the TV has Bluetooth capability. But, the soundbar is completely wireless and it is now working perfectly with the TV. So, I guess the TV does have Bluetooth, but it can only connect with a TCL soundbar. Go figure. Anyway, I still use the Roku Stick for streaming with the TV, not the built-in Roku, and the soundbar works perfectly. The reason I still use the Roku Stick is because it's already configure the way I want it and I can just unplug it from the TV and take it with me when I travel. I can't take the TV with me when I travel. It's heavy and won't fit in my travel bag. ;-)
