My Roku Wireless Bass sits low on the floor directly behind my TCL Roku TV which sits up an a table and everything connects just fine.

Hi! Happy it works for you. I found that if the sub is too close and behind, it really affected its performance relative to placing it properly in my room. For the roku bass pro, it's much more forgiving on placement.

non pro is good for small spaces ...not for party but if i think pro is much better and can be considered as an investment because of it's quality and that base will eat you up 👏👏👏👏👏

You’ve tried them both? I accidentally got the smaller one and I’m debating returning it for the bigger one. We have a private house, I’m just looking for a nice movie night speaker. Currently I have a TCL Alto 8i and this thing sounds great but doesn’t connect with the subwoofer so I’m debating sending it back. The soundbar I have atm supports Dolby Atmos whereas roku speakers doesn’t

Hey there! I have a question for you 😊 soooo I have a TCL Alto 8i soundbar hooked up to my 55” 4k TCL r615/617 tv with HDR and Dolby atmos. The soundbar supports atmos but I wanted to give it a little more oomf. It needs some more bass in the room because the only real way to hear the fullness of it is if you’re sitting directly in front of the soundbar. What subwoofer would you recommend setting up? Or what would be a way to upgrade on this current system? Thanks in advance! 😁👍 the video was great too and the comments section helped me understand that this subwoofer does NOT support Dolby atmos after I accidentally got the smaller (non pro) model and was debating returning it for the pro one.

Hi, the roku subwoofer requires either the roku soundbar or roku wireless speakers. I have not tried it with a roku TV (ie TCL roku TV) but I don't think it will pair without a roku speaker.

Too bad this is missing the third Roku sub, the Walmart-exclusive Onn version. I wonder which is better out of that one and the Slim? The Onn version is the same format as the Pro, 10" but slightly smaller overall, with a claimed 150W amp. At the same price as the slim it seems like it'd be the better buy of those two, which makes you wonder why they bothered with the Slim.

You are totally right on that. I feel like Roku is so focused on value and ease of use that they missed a chance to produce an affordable sub like a Vizio 8" sub for a really good price.

I wish they were more affordable. When/if if goes on sale, I'll strike. I use the Roku for my bedroom, and as my PC audio. I'd love some thump.

does the sub still work while you are using the optic connection? Or just while you're using the roku itself

As long as it's wireless connected to the soundbar.. It will work based on what's playing on the soundbar

They also sell speakers on their website to go along with the sound bar and base. You could add an additional 6 speakers to this setup.

@@cerebasan Yes. They do. Just buy the normal satellite speakers and set they up as surround speakers in the menu. That's how I have mine set up and they sound fantastic! (and that's coming from a retired live sound engineer.)
