Had the honor of working for him from time to time. Growing up in the punk scene in Austin, Roky was our Messiah. When he came back to life in the 90’s, it was like watching a lost wiseman strolling back into town. Bless his sweet heart.

Every one of my sensibilities is rattled. This musician rejuvenated my love of both "outsider" rock and psychedelic rock. I Think of Demons, Goodbye Sweet Dreams, Haunt, Night of the Vampire, A Cold Night for Alligators...the entire 13th floor library...very saddened. Roky was one of my 5 favorite artists, with Daniel Johnston, Tom Waits, and the late Warren Zevon and Johnny Cash. RIP You Don't Love Me Yet...well, yes, I do, and I'll never stop. None of us will ever stop.

Roky is so damned approachable and loves interaction with people. I hope one day to meet him. He's an underappreciated genius.

I had the pleasure of seeing him live in Austin Texas during South by Southwest a few years back at was probably his last show ever at Thrasher Death Match. About a month or two later he passed away. How is very happy to see him live but it was a rough show since he would forget some of his lyrics and space out from time to time. Thank you for your music

Saw him in Oslo, Norway maybe a few years earlier. They didn't get the sound right but I'm glad I got to see him in concert. I remember a few years after this I was driving with a friend who loves music but didn't know Roky. He was stunned when I played 'The Evil One' in the car.
