It actually has an 18dB/Oct filter just like the original TB-303. In fact the device (in so far as is currently possible) simulates the actual 303 circuitry, warts and all, in it's 303 patches.

Probably my 4th time watching through this video. Made me purchase a TB-3 a few years ago so thanks for your great review. Some of those voices in the B and C bank are just 😱. Sounds great and a perfect partner for a TB-303 or TB-03.

Hi! I'm not very familiar with MIDI so you have to bare with me!I have a Maschine and was wandering if it is possible to connect this TB3 to the back of it? I don't want to record what the TB3 does I just want it to be in sync with what ever I'm doing on Maschine so I can play on the fly. If this isn't possible, how can I get these 303 sounds out of Komplete 9? It's doing my head in!

So far as convincing 303 noises go, when not using the gear in the above video, I use a little phone app (u can go into its folders via es file Explorer and copy paste noises via usb into laptop) for Android called CAUSTIC. the free version is fine, and th paid version is a steal. Use it like propelorheads reason. But, I am sure there is a pc version of caustic, and it shouldn't be too hard to get the info from its folders. It also has midi functionality. As an old 303 user, I can assure you caustics 303 emulator is brilliant. Hope that helped?

Hello,I have a problem connecting and syncing my tr8 with my tb3.i have connected both via midi ( midi out from tr8 to midi in to tb3 ) but for some reason tb3 is not playing along.although the step sequencer is lightning up,there is no sound coming out of it..if anyone could give me any idea i would be greatful.maybe it has something to do with the settings?
@deejannemeiurffnicht17918 жыл бұрын
Ah. You need midi OUT from tb3, and IN to tr8. Actual. I spent my first week recently, with them simply audio jacks out of either into mx1, and just set them.manually to same bpm, and to get the sequences where I wanted, just quickly stopped, then started the tr8 till I was happy. Much like a dj thru headphones, and it was rather nice. But try, as I mentioned, from tb3 midi OUT to midi IN of tr8 as that's the correct way. If that's doesn't work, get in.touch with the supplier, they should be happy to replace as Roland work really well with their supplier chain.
@deejannemeiurffnicht17918 жыл бұрын
P.S, as the tb3 will be the tr8 "slave", then the tb3 must go "out" to the tr8's "in". If u have midi in/out on your of, or a suitable offload sound and for your laptop, and have tractor, u can load all your aira gear into deck 1, and tractor will act as your clock, so it'll beat match you to whatever is on the other three decks etc.

Always one know-it-all. I think ANYONE interested in this sort of hardware already it's that, and it, like me, would be years of using free software that has lead us to getting this hardware. Incidentally, it's good gear. Got a load of it just over a week.ago and I've designed some pretty banging acid-tech that's ready to roll already. Software wise, I absolutely LOVE Caustic. The version for Android is dynamite. All the functionality of propelorheads reason, with fantastic 303 emulators, and really tasty drum machine, and simple to pop your own sounds into the folders. And you can loads heaps onto it even on a phone without it getting too sluggish. Unbelievably good.
@deejannemeiurffnicht17918 жыл бұрын
Bloody spellchecker! I meant, anyone looking g I to this kind of gear will most likely be aware of existing and free software.... Over and oot!

least interesting of the aira series by far. yea, i get that it's a 303 emulator but it wouldnt have been hard to expand the sound pallet way beyond. any of the other aira units could be stretched to other genres but the TB3 only seems good for a specific style of edm
@piggdsbest33310 жыл бұрын
acid techno and trance,normal trance, goa and psytrance, deep and tech house, downtempo music, ambient music, and all the other acid electronic subgenres. It covers quite alot of genres actually, probably even more.
@XHALE30310 жыл бұрын
Only if u are used to fabric patches which requires no skills, knowledge or creativity & no clue about programming synths & FX to make your own sounds so never learned to get out whats (not) in it those who have a clue, know it can be used for every electronic style there is those who say it cant, dont have a clue about synths or producing & therefore pointless to buy one anyway.
@piggdsbest33310 жыл бұрын
you can play the tb3 with a midi keyboard and add effets and modulation and more to your sounds in your daw

@deejannemeiurffnicht17918 жыл бұрын
Got one a week and a half ago. It midis with most gear, and u can do what u want with it. However, the 303, in this format has been revived specific for "acid" freaks, so as such it does EXACTLY what it was designed for. And what it was designed for us EXACTLY what mist of us out here needed. The sound banks aren't massive, BUT they DO go beyond 303 sounds. And it is a good box. As the guy in the video says, it's a psychedelic producers dream.
