@@STARKNAKEDVIDEOS I'm sorry about that, man. what a scam. I payed a lot less (about 400 euros) for an akai mpc2000, but that was 10 years later, that is 10 years ago.

yeah I know man. I had a chuckle. That was actually impressive in the 90s for a sampler or drum machine and most musicians didnt have a computer with 2 TB on it like now a days of course, haha

I used this to make my first album on, it has some nice sounds and I remember being able to customise the pitch and I learnt how to programme drums on this thing, it was hooked up via midi to my boss BR532, sometimes it would go out of sync and you had to record it 3,4 or 5 times before you'd get a perfect take, fun times lol

Forget about the high number of presets kits and patterns. Those are trash! For those who are comparing this 770 to a 660. 770 has the same amount of samples as a 660. But some of them are not the same. Example: 660 didnt have 909 hihats. 770 does. Also, 770 doesnt have chorus effect like 660. However, it still has reverb and flanger. It has also added eq (low & high). 770 has at least 200mA additional power consumption than 660. 770 has 14 note polophony compared to 12 in 660 770 has 250 more programmable pattern slots 770 has 32 more programmable drum kit slots 770 will probably cost more than 660 770 is blue. 660 is black

I learned drum machine programming in the mid 90's on my dr-660.....nice piece of kit it was at the time

Wow! I've owned mine since about 2001, and while I've spent many hours getting pretty deep with it (modifying the 255 samples with onboard pitch shift and effects, making my own 32 pad kits with those "new" sounds, using its sequencer for sample playback on my sp-303, and assigning fills so I can switch back and forth quickly between certain patterns) I never really utilized the two features shown here. I need to pull it out of my rig and start setting up my DPP, and see if I can set or assign my own quick search "genres".

Leviticus It is my favorite Dr Rhythm. Since it is a whole band in a little box. But I wouldnt call it a drum machine. That is just an element of it. That mf has synths, horns, strings, bass, etc. I just heard your album. Pretty good.

boring sounds. I haven't heard any decent kick and snare in this silly promo. am pretty sure there are little to none synthesis parameters as it's usually the case; also, I guess there are no individual outputs to be routed to a mixer channel in order to have a bare minimum of versatility. so.... sub amateur product. in facts, it's a toy with realistic sounds and some preset rhythms but that's it.
@LittleRichard19882 жыл бұрын
It's basically the same drum sounds used in many of their sound modules. To be honest I find all Roland drum machines that came after the R-8 extremely underwhelming. At best the DR-770 is a ripoff of the Alesis SR-16 which is also better.
@donpirla2 жыл бұрын
sounds like a pretty useless toy, pretty useless even as a toy.
