I recently purchased the FA-06 and granted, I never had a piano lesson in my life. Everything I learned was guitar based. I took guitar lessons back in 1963... I have an ear for music and this is how I play keyboards. I sat back and listened to you make beautiful music with the FA-06 and have inspired to practice more. I know I will never achieve your skill level with professional training but I know what the FA-06 can sound like. Thank you, Rick

Yea, if you have enough money you can. The 08 at least has a full 88 keys. It's what I bought, and I love it.

The more videos I watch about the Roland FA-06 the more it makes me smile in knowing I have this baby inside my studio and it is one awesome piece to use. It's not just a keyboard, it's a workstation which means so, so much can be done on this machine as well with it. I like the fact that it doubles as both a workstation and controller. Very nice work by the way. I can watch you on the 06 for hours.

Great demo and nice playing. Just wondering how you find the keys? I use a Nord Stage 2 HA76 with a Triton Extreme 61 up top. Looking to maybe replace the Korg with an FA6 for more up to date sound quality and lighter weight.

Thanks! All the melodies I play in this video are loosely based on existing songs. The 2nd one is by Elton John - The One (piano solo near the end), the 3rd one is by Adam K - Wake Up (Club Mix).

Thanks! As far as I know the FA compressor has no option for an incoming side chain signal like a kick or something. You probably still need an external daw to do that.

Hi! I probably prefer the fa-06 over the moxf because of the larger display and ease of use. I haven't tested the moxf long enough to say which keyboard has the better sounds. They're both great I think (for any style of music). I especially like the fa-06 sna BrightGrand piano and most of the ep and synth sounds. Not sure what to think of the keys.. they are somewhat small.

fuckableteam I have a yamaha Keyboard i play on my channel with FA06~ FA06 has more synth sounds i think. my Yamaha sounds more realist to me though. =]

i have both of them, The moxf has more recent trance electro sounds and great acoustic sounds, better according to me for the guitar precisely. but the FA06 has a lot a lot of sampled sounds too and huge capacities with the combinations, it's more linked to vintage sounds if you like them, you will find a lot of them, so Roland FA and MOXF are complementary totally ;)

I bought this to make hiphop beats and all types of music in general. When I purchased this it was in the shelf with no manual. My problem is I change some of the 16 sounds to my liking. I save my work. Turn off and load my work. The sounds to my track are in the patterns and order that I chose however the 16 sounds are back to default and not the ones I chose. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, you can create bass wobbles with the fa, but that means some menu diving. Use a lfo to modulate the filter and change the lfo rate etc.

Вы не подскажете почему через некоторое время, около года использования использования этого синтезатора (DAW), неожиданно вдруг пропал сигнал из выхода SUB OUTPUT? Как его можно восстановить? ( то есть при подключении наушников в этот разъем звука нет вообще, и при подаче на любой электронный девайс тишина).. Я уже делал возврат к заводским настройкам, но это не помогло..

Roland for better pianos and acoustic sounds. Even drums are better on roland. When I think about it actually this Rolan FA beats the kor at every possible sound.

Hi, I haven't used the FA as a daw controller yet. From what I've read the FA transport functions and the 6 assignable knobs will work with most daws. The FA has various daw control maps.

Especially when u modulate it and it layered in some type of synth string with the patch. It sounds very familiar and takes me back to the early 80s. Sound like a score in a movie from the 80s.

Skrill Head Beats Probably a nice upgrade from the X6 to the FA-06. The SuperNatural sounds are a good addition and there are still a lot of the old pcm tones available. That first melody is Dada Life - Happy violence. But now that you mention it, this sound indeed has some 80s movie vibe to it

DocTheopolis Hi, I don't know the name of the original patch but I think it was one with an arpeggio on it. I probably switched off the arpeggiator and used the compressor, reverb.

How did you record the audio with video? what recording software do you use sir?

I recorded the audio in Logic Pro and then merged the audio and video together in iMovie.

Hi, yes the keyboard is connected to the mac for recording the audio. The FA-06 doesn't have built-in speakers, so external speakers or headphones are necessary to hear the sound.
