At 2:27, how do you change the velocity of just one note, or one clap, when there is two or three other sounds in the same place of that clap? I can't figure this out? Say I have a clap in my pattern that is too loud from the others, and I want to turn just that one clap down, how do I turn the velocity down without dragging all of the other sounds down with it, when they are in the same place on the velocity grid? I just can't believe how they can expect you to do this when sounds are on top of each other in the drums section, and even with the synth layers? Do you know what I mean. If so, please help, because it's driving me crazy when I have to do this, then I can't?

Here are two ways: From the Pattern screen, select the right clip, press Shift (button) +Edit (knob), bring up the Microscope view, navigate to your note and dial down the On Velocity number. Let me know if need more info on this method - it's definitely not intuitive! An easier way is to stay in the Piano Roll view and move your note over a smidge so you can see its velocity bar in the bottom pane. Use the jog wheel to move the velocity down, then move the note back to where it goes. Hope that helps!

Please put yourself in the shoes of your audience. Your viewers are likely trying to learn something, but you are presenting a mixture of a lot of different things on each video that make it very hard to follow. Try to keep your video focused on one topic/teaching or goal.

Great feedback! I want to give viewers a lot of creative options to think about, but maybe I've overdone it. I'll think about how to simplify. Thanks!

This is an intermediate tutorial. You should already know the basics before watching this.
