Yes, some of the backing tracks were indeed instrumentals of the original recordings without the keyboard parts. Puts the sounds in context and demonstrates how the keyboard parts of the songs are activated and switched within a given scene.

yes there are polyphony issues but we do our best to work around those limits by managing key and velocity zones and the number of layers used at a time.

No, it doesn’t come with charts or tabs. Most of the demos especially the newer ones show a top view as the keyboard is played.

When you load Narf sounds does it include the whole scene with splits, layers, changes in pitch and use of Pads?

Yes, that’s exactly what you get. Scenes with their respective custom tones setup across the keyboard. Most sounds use the Pad Switches to change sounds according to the section of a given song. This also includes one shot samples for a number of songs. This does not include midi backing tracks.

It’s not as simple as to compare instruments Roland can’t replicate Yamaha sound engines and vice versa so it’s down to preference No synthesiser will have have identical vintage sounds produced by other brands

Roland has said that files between the Fantom and Fantom-0 are compatible. We’re in the process of determining the degree of compatibility specific to our packs as soon as our Fantom-0 arrives this week.

The sounds are Fantom scenes, unfortunately zencore only works at the tone level with these files are are not compatible.

Too bad you can’t use all the free expansions that are available, because people might not have them installed. There doesn’t seem to be one synth that is best for doing all this, and I have the 3 major food groups. It’s better for 80s to at least have a real FM engine on board tho.
