FA-08 is a nice keyboard but for DJ series sound ! It has no SRX card or ARX card , it's sounds are few, but still has good quality~ so this is why it has lower price.

Any technology has limits. Technology always improves. What I was able to find out, after purchasing FantomG 6, is that you actually have great power making new sounds, once you get accustomed working the system. I was able to reproduce a lot of sounds from Korg Karma, 01Wfd, D50, even General Music Equinox... owning these previously. To start with, you have 4 stereo blocks that create individual sounds. You can incorporate stereo samples, to further shape sound creation, or use all four stereo signal paths of samples, and then start to mingle them up, to produce other sounds. Add 156 track sequencer for your song data, and you can accomplish a lot of things lol I don't purchase synthesizers, to hear demos created with demo sounds... they are just there, for you to get the feel of what you can accomplish with the keyboard, once you start making your own sound scapes.

Hey, great demo** I'm considering getting one of these workstations.. I've been looking at the Fantom G8 for while now.. Are you able to save music directly to a memory card as wav or mp3 format? Or will it only save as Midi.. I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but I just wanted to chk with an actual user, and not a sales person.. Thanks for your time & keep on playin ;)

KENe W.L. I don't think it can be save as mp3 or wave, because its memory is small, so I always record with DP-32, thank you for your message.^_^

You can resample an entire song or track of a song as a wav file and save it to usb thumbdrive. The wav file should be saved in the SAMPL folder of the the thumb drive which can then be loaded to a PC into a DAW or bruned to an audio CD with authoring software.

Do you mean ： like import USER setting sounds from 1.4 v to 1.5 v system ? (I think preset sounds between 1.4 & 1.5 are the same ?!)

Ivan Vilches Has Audio interface integrated into it. Load samples and MIDI files from your computer by choosing USB mode and copying direct from computer to Fantom Project folder.

word of advice....next time use a interface.and if you did it sounds flat.i have a g8 my self and know for sure it sounds fuller than that.

Roland FA-08 is better now and a great price new.

alphasxsignal lol... Fa-08 is a great board, but i sold my fa-08 and fa-06. Aside from the cheap plastic built of fa-08, its not for a studio or record making. Fantom G will do better in a studio. But the fa-08 is great for gigging... i sold my fantom g7, g6 too. im buying a G8 soon. The new FA are ok but not for everyone

Thanks for taking the time to run the demo, but you would have thought it would make sense to start with piano, move on to electric pianos then organs. It is after all a piano at the end of the day. No basses either? Sure, do fx synths, but because there’s so many just choose the best ones and run through them quickly.
