Ive found that Roland piano sounds...they dont sound 100% realistic when by themselves ...but man......they really sound good when in context with the entire band. Even the 64voicePiano patch sounds great when playing with a band. They just cut thru the mix very well in comparison with Yamaha . With Yamaha ive found myself fighting with the eq when playing live. Roland is basically plug and play. Not too much hassle to get it right. But a Yamaha piano sounds amazing alone . So my verdict is - For playing along with other instruments ...Roland hands down. For Piano solo performances ...Yamaha no doubt. But hey...thats just me.

Very good point

Isaac I agree with you. I like the Yamaha piano sounds better by themself, but the Roland is much more user friendly in a live setting, and in the mix it doesn’t seem to matter on the specific “sound” or timbre of the voice. Killerddt, excellent playing. Enjoyed the performance!

I find that's true for all the Roland sounds.

Ill like to use the 8 outputs as 8 separate tracks, running each individual output into their own compressor and then into a mixer. Is that possible and how would one do it

THanks for posting this. I also have the Kronos. Never was happy with the pianos on it. How do you like the pianos with the Integra? Also, do you have any issues with Polyphony problems... sounds dropping out etc as it is only 128 voice?
@killerddt3 жыл бұрын
I adjust some values to make the sounds I want, based on what kind of music I need lighter or darker sound. The Roland and Korg pianos have their special feeling, it's hard to say which sounds better. Even Steinway piano software needs to adjust to get better result. It is really a issue that all preset sounds with all brands seems cannot satisfy most users. And I don't really understand your question about polyphony, may describe more, thanks for your message.

@@killerddt Thank you. YOur definitely correct with each piano needing to be tweeked but even with that, I never really liked the Kronos pianos much. But thats very subjective. Still a great board. Regarding polyphony issues.. the Integra has I believe 128 voices which if getting too busy and layering too much can be an issue but for the most part it probably would not be. Thank you for your response. Appreciated.

Thanks! You will review only piano sounds of Integra 7, or other type of sounds too?

Right, I was laughing at the same thing 🤣😂 a $2,000 sound module with a $3,000 controller 🤣😂 plus the iPad and cables will average out to about $1 per sound on the Integra 😂👍🏼💪🏼💸. Thanks for the really cool and professional video.

Great demo! Did you record the midi files during the sessions? If yes, would you share them?
@killerddt4 жыл бұрын
I record in audio form, because integra 7 sounds must show in wave format, midi cannot.
@Claudio4you4 жыл бұрын
@@killerddt yes I know that to publish a video you must record the audio from the session you played. I was only wondering if, besides of playing it live and recording the audio, you also recorded the MIDI track of your nice execution :)

I have rd2000 and listening to this piano of integra7 my personal verdict is roland pianos are just barely good. The engineers need to get back to the drawing board for piano sounds imo. They all seem to lack clarity, not brightness but clarity.

I'm a fan of the Fantom pianos, but have to admit I was a little disappointed by these demos. Mostly my problem lies with the bright "tack piano" attacks. I wonder how much this can be corrected in editing.
@yeoldmedic75722 жыл бұрын
@@DeflatingAtheism just take the top layer of the acoustic piano off, it doesnt add dynamic in most cases it just is annoying.

$2000 unit. Bad demo. I was hoping for someone really good to really lay into that thing and help me decide. Please someone make a video to replace this crap.
