Roland Juno-X Demo (no talking)

I just bought the Roland Juno-X. It sounds amazing. Here's my first time playing it. I went through a few sound banks. Enjoy! Take care, Sam.

Hey Sam, from 10:55 I love that sound. Like a real DJ. (jean Michel Jarre) Well done playing some presets. I've had my Jupiter 6, sounds similar, but no drums possible on that. Arpeggio's like at 12.55 were possible. But this NEW machine sounds great.

No shoes, no stand, no problem! I might buy one of these just for that retro panel. It will be a bonus if the controls work consistently, unlike the Jupiter X which was less predictable and you had to crane your neck to the left to read the tiny menu panel. ...so I went back to the kronos 2. So nice they put the LED panel right in the middle for menu diving on the Juno. My take is the sound approaches the analog Junos, not quite as deep and rich but the added features of the "X" really makes it interesting. Splits, layers, iARP and drums. With all that comes some complexity but it looks like a really fine instrument overall. Thanks for a cool introduction to the sounds.

I love chillin on the coach messing around with my synthesizers. I was already in my ‘home style’ when I recorded this video. The placement of the screen on the Jupiter X does stink, but I love the layering and splits you can do. I really need to update mine to the 3.0 firmware version. The ease of altering the sound goes to the Juno X imho. Thank you for stopping by the channel. Take care Sam.

@@machiwoomiapoo I did not know you have or play the Jupiter X. So you know what I am talking about. I had a similar problem with JDXA as my old eyes could not see the panel writing and sold it before they came out with overlays. Roland knows how to do large screens, I wish they would be consistent. By the way, I do not know if I told you, but Sam to Sam, I picked the name Sam Utah based on an arcane reference in Frank Herbert's Dune series where an addictive type of music is described as Semuta music. I made an album for family and friends called "Semuta" music but at the last minute changed it to Sam Utah figuring nobody would get the "in-joke" and it stuck. I am Steve Kennedy in Santa Cruz, Ca.

@@Sam_Utah that is a cool backstory. I love the movie Dune. Especially the music of the 1984 one. I enjoy the new one as well but I’m so impatient to see you the next installment. The JDXA definitely is awesome. I was so happy Roland finally did something with analog circuitry. I think the nicest greens I have for Roland are the one for the Phantom G8 and V Synth GT. Hi Sam - hope you're well and enjoying your new Juno-X ... it sounds gooood. 👍‍😎 Have you tried the vocoder feature out yet ? [I've been using the Vocal Designer model expansion alot on my JP - a really great addition! - but I've yet to find anyone using it on the Juno-X]. Now I have one question that maybe you can answer - on the JP-X/Xm I can plug a USB controller keyboard into the USB-A (memory) port and then the synth will act as a host device, permitting the use of the external controller to play one (or all) of the 5 channels on the synth, in addition to the main keyboard... I assume the Juno-X does the same (as it also supports the Cloud Connect device) but would be interested to know. Anyway looking forward to hearing more from you soon Sam - say Hi to Moo Cow too! @Axelsoft Music i’m not really sure how to answer that question. I usually only play my synthesizers by standalone features. Sometimes I hook them up to a sequencer like the MSQ 700. It’s sad but I’m not any good with integrating the cloud into the synthesizers. I’m sorry I couldn’t help. I’m sure the vocal input on the Juno X is really cool. @@machiwoomiapoo Cheers Sam, no worries - I'm pretty sure it will be the same as per the JPX's... it's a neat trick this feature, you can take a USB midi controller keyboard and with just a single USB A-B cable give yourself a 2 keybed control for the synth. Alternatively you can use a midi control surface (faders or knobs) to give you external control over say the volumes of each part (or any other parameters that are mapped to CC's).
