10 Star Recording!!! How do you get recordings from recordings to sound so good?

I record the sound for the video direct from the phono amp and then just overlay the video clips suitably sync'd up with the camera sound (which is then discarded).

Also is there a cartridge you could recommend that is a MM for a Project Debut Carbon 2. I am also looking into upgrading my current phono stage which is just off of the integrated amp. Audiolab 7000A. Was considering a Gold Note PH5 or a Hegel V10. Thank you

As I mentioned in reply to your other comment I use Graham Slee phono amps (I have several!) Since using both the GS Accession MC and Accession (MM) I feel no need at all to ever change as these suit me just fine, They have two outputs (one variable which is great for going into a digital interface), a proper mono switch, and a patented EQ set up. Have a look here www.hifisystemcomponents.com/phono-preamps/accession-mm-phono-preamp.html As far as cartridges go, I don't know the Pro-ject tonearms. I guess the closest I've come is a Rega based Tecnoarm I used on a Michell Gyro SE. I had a Goldring 1042 with this and it was excellent. The 1042 is still going and is probably quite overlooked today. Also really good (but unfashionable these days) is the Nagaoka MP-300 (or 500). There's always a temptation to think that if something is new it must be better - which is certainly not always the case. I don't know if any of this helps! In the end it all comes down to personal preference and what you enjoy.
