Hi Eric, I have an XD SMC adapter in my roland but it never worked, I bought it with the intención of import samples. Do you use an adapter also? Any idea why it doesn't work?

There are steps you must take to properly format and transfer the file system to cards with this adapter. There is a video with the specific steps you'd need to take. In summary, you 1st must boot up with just the memory chip, then swap out the chip with the adapter, and transfer the file system from a saved place on your PC to the card/adapter. Hi. I just got Roland mc909 and I noticed that filters cut off and resonance, lfo (depth& waveform), mastering (attact & release) not responding when i play sample song. Is it something wrong with hardware ?

Be certain that there is actually something assigned to the patch. By default, when you turn on the MC-909, the C'mon demo appears, but there is no sample in part 1. You'll want to push one of the other part buttons before trying the cut off/resonance/lfo. Push the Part-Select_mute button to see what lights up. Given that these machines are around 20 years old, it could be a hardware problem. On my unit, the Tap tempo button barely works, and the Chord Memory button sometimes takes a lot of effort to engage. Also the main l/r out and headphone jacks sometimes cut out if they are at the wrong angle with input. I rely heavily on the MC-909 Re-Sampling feature which will save your session and mix directly onto the unit instead of recording from the mix/line outs.
