It's slick how just watching a few of these tutorials over time, while paying close attention, the subconscious mind picks up on every single step and process of something when you're completely interested and focused in on it, remembering each detail even if you're not consciously aware of what the hell you're doing. I took a 1 hour nap, woke up and all of this stuck to me like glue. I've only had mine for a month and I'm still learning new tricks with this "Beast". If you have one, keep it.

Seeing chords played on the pads, and realising that you can treat the pad grid like four fingers across four strings of a bass, is what sold me on the MV. He does this demo in six slick minutes. First time I tried to follow the exact same workflow it took me more than 20. Second time it took me about 17. Third time 12. Fourth time I wasn't counting but it must have been under 10.

i love the Mv8800 i cant afford one at the moment but have been going to the music store on a regular basis to use there demo :-) cos the store is so massive they really dont mind you having ago on anything really so on a day when im not in a rush i spend an hour or two playing around on it so that when i can afford one hopefully june-july this year i get straight into mastering this beast :-)

I'm lovin' that jagged bass. If you think about it, this is like Ableton Live in hardware. The only difference is terminology: what in the MV are called "patterns", are "clips" in Ableton, right? A very similar workflow.

What do you prefer, an Akai MPC 500 on full option or the Roland MV-8800?? I dont know witch one to buy.

Can you use one of the knobs or faders to change the pitch of the whole sample program (all the pads) at ones and while playing? I do this all the time on my mp, and it's crucial for my beat making process, in order to decide at what tempo the sample sounds the best or to make it fit a certain tempo. So I need to know if I can do this on the MV as well?

THis is really great stuff, But a keyboard controller hooked into software like Logic, does the same thing. But more. But, you don't get this cool looking deck. This is one of the best demos on youtube. Thanks. My favorite part was his keyboard playing between 2:41 and 2:48. THis is a bad dude. I'd love to see him play the keyboard.

Ok Check this out. I know my stuff. People are comparing me to you. But I can't seem to get one thing going on. In about 4:44 Min into the clip while your playing inside of immediate Mode you starting to Ghost them notes on the pad. Here is what I need to know. How can you Ghost the Notes inside of Pattern or Song Mode Without using the resample Or copying them into an audio phrase?
