This is also an internal demo song inside the Roland RD 800. Just press Live Set Edit and Rythm/Song buttons at the same time.

How to get the rhythm accompaniments or backing tracks to play to or can you create your own that plays with you as you play and follows your chord progression?

8:48 how did you get the second sound is it it already programmed to split the keys or did you set up a split? Id kind of like sounds that have splits without me needing to do any work haha

On the keyboard, there are internal demo songs. I finally figured out how to play it just by listening to the internal demo songs. What are the names of the songs?

how do i setup a vocoder with the rd 800
@sweetwater5 жыл бұрын
Hey, Frederick. Thanks for the question! It really comes down to what you're hoping to accomplish, and what vocoder you have. There's a great pedal from Electro-Harmonix called the V256 that lets you run a mic, as well as an instrument in for a vocoder effect. Where is all the rhythm and accompaniment coming from??
@kennycunningham891410 жыл бұрын
My guess to your question is they're either SMF files or some pre-recorded stuff playable from the USB stick in the back of the piano.

I just bought a Roland BK9. But, that only has 76 keys on it. Does anyone know whether this keyboard (having 88 keys) is just as good, better than, worse than the Roland BK9? Just curious! I have 30 days to try this Roland BK9 out and if I decide that I don't like it, I can take it back. But, I would much rather have a keyboard that has all 88 keys. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! (:

Bk-9 is a backing keyboard, that means its an arranger with all the rhythm background and drum music. This is a stage piano focus on the individual sound rather than having a backing band.

Sequialtera Thanks for the info. I'm not really sure what you mean exactly (because I don't understand all the different terminology that you used). But, I sure do appreciate your' help. I guess I need it "dumbed down" a little .... lol ... in order for me to understand this. But, like I said, thanks again. I do appreciate you trying to explain that to me. (:

Yeah not my fave stage piano but man the playing was awesome. None of this minor blues with mistakes or cliche romantic piano. Even the ballad he played on fm piano was fresh sounding to all the usual romantic demos lol

Yes, you can hook up an included amplifier or use an external sound source.

The pianos sound substantially inferior to the Nord Piano 3. Almost as though the samples were heavily post-processed. I had a Roland F-90 from 15 years ago which had the same problem albeit to a greater degree.

Are there built in speakers?
@sweetwater5 жыл бұрын
Hello! The RD-800 is a discontinued model, but neither it nor its replacement, the RD2000, have built-in speakers. I'd be happy to talk with you about keyboard amps or studio monitors - if you'd like to go into more detail, please call my number below. Thanks for your interest!
