Had yamaha p125 with 7 watt, wasn’t enough for me. So 6 is going to be too quiet

Robert Piatek you would love an old HP, I am having an old HP-307gp, it is for the Japanese market, introduced for the year around 2010 but it still sounds fantastic and much better price/value compared to new Rolands

The Yamaha beats it on onboard speaker sound, but in all other aspects, the Roland is better IMHO.

Well except that the RP-102 has just half the amplification power of the FP30. It's surprising that they put an underpowered onboard speaker system on the cabinet model vs. the portable one.

8 months later so you've probably made your choice, but I'm curious which you chose? I've narrowed my choice down to those two also. Tried out px 870 in the store today and loved it (they didn't have Roland). But... RP-102 has 200 (or is it 400?) voices while Casio has just 18; Roland has bluetooth, Casio doesn't; idk about speaker quality. Other differences?

Not really, I mean it's a cabinet - it's not a portable piano placed on a stand, it's built into the cabinet. If you want portable rp102, fp30 is the same keyboard and sound engine, it just lacks a few sounds and songs.

Roland. It simulates authentic string resonance, so the piano sounds like evrything is resonating with each other. Keys also have escapement which the YDP doesnt have.

Agreed. The Yamaha is not even close in feel. The Roland feels closer to an acoustic of any digital I have played

It depends on whether you want a home piano or a portable piano. If you're out and about playing gigs, the FP30 would be a better option. But they both have the same action, so you can't go wrong either way. Cheers - Murdoch

If the piano is connected to bluetooth then the sound will come from the piano speakers. If not, then it will come from the iPad speakers

If u are using a yamaha piece then go for ydr and if you are a current roland or casio user , then go with rp.... Btw i went with rp and i feel nice
