The fact that you still upload content after all these years is a gift in itself. A handful of synths I own are due to your influence. Most recently the Siel Cruise.

This is also true for me. Over the years I've come to this channel to hear sounds and demos of synths and drum machines I've been considering buying from local classifieds or second hand shops. Beyond being entertaining, you've become a valuable reference library of vintage synthesizers, and an excellent resource for people buying vintage gear. I have a number of instruments in my studio whose purchase was influenced by your videos. Thanks for continuing the channel all these years!

I fully agree with previous comments. Your synth demonstrations have become my favorite among so many talented people sharing their technical knowledge, music genius and creativity with vintage synthesizers. You just know how to get the best sounds out of these great pieces of popular music history. Please never stop.

According to Andy McCluskey, the SH-09 was used for the lead melody of Enola Gay, along with a Korg Micro Preset and combo organ

I've always loved the vintage SH synthesizers. The SH-09 is a simple yet beautiful-sounding instrument. I wish Roland (or even Behringer) would release some accurate analogue reproductions of the SH series other than the SH-101. I'd love to see an SH-09, SH-05 or SH3.
@LousyFacelift2 жыл бұрын
Behringer have an SH-5 in the works I believe but it's going to take a long time until it's released like we've seen with most of their stuff.

@@LousyFacelift It will likely be too expensive for my little home studio. The VC340 was $700. I imaging an SH-5 clone will be double that.

@@group-music I hope so, but the SH-5 has more complex signal routing and more than double the number of switches and buttons. Those are the bits that cost money in production. That's why manufactures love iPad apps, no $1.50/piece components.

@@group-music I'm kicking myself for selling off my collection of SH synths back in the late 90s. I sold an SH-1000, SH-2000, SH-3 and a JUNO-60 for $200 a piece in order to pay rent during college. In 1998 no one in Vancouver was interested in old analog keyboards.

Probably the easiest and cheapest way to access vintage Roland snappy sounds (all the SH range and the original system 101-102 modules). Still have some of them bought in the late 70s and still working alright (not even recapped!👍👌)

@AnalogAudio1 the demo tune "slaps" as the kids like to say ("it's a total banger" etc.) - I've played the video from 3:whatever onwards several times, as if requesting a catchy song on the radio. Well done. But also this constitutes a highly successful pitch for ownership of one of these synths, I am now thoroughly convinced and I want one. Shut up and take my money!
