What I can say, every synth you put your hands on, shows the hard work of technicians who were masters in the same way you are. Bread and butter for music lover's ears. Thank you Maestro

I had one of these a long time ago. Was a fun toy at the time, even though I don't play keyboard/piano at all, or at that time. Traded for some other music gear I didn't need just to play with it. Now I wish I had kept it.

Pretty cool idea with presets! Organ like aliquotes, just brilliant. And knobs, switches, sliders...how I miss them on my Casio CZ-5000.. Great Video, man! Thanks.
Can't think about the SH1000 without thinking about the Imagination Bass sound :D

Interesting form factor. Since electric organs were, well... electric, synthesizer had been designed as an organ add-on, since it is an electronic instrument, hence something related to organ. Same with drum machines. Having this coupled with CR-78 would be a total riot!!! I mean, in a good sense, very very good sense...

I Want one but not just in a daydream sense. I actually need to get hold of one of these beauties as if it was 1973.
Does anyone know if these patches like the clarinet, violin of this particular synth are also available in more recent Roland Synthesizers or in form of Bank of Sounds to download under any particular Keyboard ?

The very beginning sounds like VL-70m demo song. I wonder if UJIIE San composed it, he might as well have.

I've owned one of these. It was cheap because it had several flaws. GREAT sound, far better in real life than in this video ! But when one of those colored tabs at the front breaks off, there is NO glue in the world that can glue it back on !!! This man should be more careful, flipping those tabs. I bet he has no clue what kind of damage he could cause. Spare parts for this synth no longer exist. Superglue, 2k, Bostik, tixotropic....Nothing will work. This plastic can NOT be glued. You have been warned !!!

You are right. Never ever treat your SH-1000 like that! I've had mine since 1975 and never had a problem. It has been used in many gigs but is still in mint condition. It is much more versatile with pedals for volume and V.C.F.

That's one cheesy looking synth...eek! My all-time favourite Roland synth has to be the Jupiter 4 which also had those cheesy home organesque coloured switches but what a sound... Lovely playing! Wish I could understand Japanese.......:-)
