Best demo on KZbin of this kit apart from what happened between 11:30 -11:31 - if it wasn’t so dragged out maybe I’d have missed it.😂👍

Three benefits of electronic drums 1. quiet, middle of the night practice 2. low volume jams without ear plugs 3. easy home recording, 2 wires instead of 6 mics and a booth. But yes...real drums are funner...and much harder to tune.

Congratulations, Is it possible to play the td17kv with the brushes? Or is there a sound already programmed in the control unit that allows you to get the sound of the brushes playing with the sticks? Thank you

Hey bud - Alesis tries to give you a lot for your money, and they do, but once you get the ear for drumming, their drums can sound like someone picked 'drum set' on a keyboard. Roland will always win for sound and that's why they jack their prices up. I've had a few friends who have had parts on their Alesis break, and to the company's credit, they replace them. It's upto you, visually it's cool, but if you want quality and durability? I go Roland everytime. It's an investment.

I've never been on a TD-17, but for a 15, you have to grab the very front. Not like a Yamaha kit where you can grab anywhere. I hope this helps.

The nice thing about this set/module is you can import your own sounds: so limited only by your imagination. You could feasibly capture the sound of smacking a jackass in places, import those sounds and have your drums sound like the ass end of an ass!....

Dennis Rivenburg - Yulp for that same price point- If ANYONE looked at this kit sitting right next to a Alesis Strike for the same price $1,599.00 No one would choose this over Strike! LoL 😆 hahahahaha Uumm.. Lets see - 1- Strike looks like an actual drum set. 2-Strike has ALL individual cables No “Cable Snake” 3-Strike ALSO has a built in Sampler to download any sounds or any sample drum sounds PLUS has more Memory to achieve more Sample downloads. 4-Strike has individual pad sliders for easy controls. 4- Strike Sound is a lot Deeper more bassy lower undertone Sound so it will sound more Alive more thump thro a PA or better Live on stage. If anyone ever notices when you listen to any Roland drums then listen to Strike - You will difinitly hear immediately that Roland drum sounds are kinda tinny sounding and you’ll notice the Strike doesn’t have that tinny sound.. It sounds deep lower tone “Better” The only downfall to the Strike is the “LOAD TIMES” per kit and the Cymbal sounds not as good as Roland- But all in all Sorry Roland Alesis Strike wins this competition price range!..

@neardaaaRk

yet it still sounds way better than any other electronic kit, and if you are not satisfied use it with EZ drummer or anything else. I am completely OK with these sounds, for practice it is more than enough. if you wanna go for live gigs, then you wanna go deeper in your pocket, for this price there is no any other competitors.. but that's just my opinion.
@johnburkhalter3880
@johnburkhalter3880 4 жыл бұрын
The best sounding electronic kit it is not. I do agree for the price it's a decent kit just for the quality of the pads. Roland is known for good build quality. But sound quality is not their strong point. ATV, Alesis, 2box, and Pearl all have them beat. I know those are all higher priced but the sounds from this module come from Roland's flagship td50. I was at guitar center where they had a td50 set up next to an alesis strike pro se. Everyone literally commented that alesis sounded far better and was about a third the price.

@@neardaaaRk but the Alesis isn't as well built, and for $50 you can import a set of new kits that sound great.

Peter Griffin Electric drums I don't think this kit is competing against the strike model that would probably be the td25, this is replacing the TD11 and I've heard a lot of quality issues with Alesis.

Except that the Strike has a horrible reputation, it's hi hat is damn near broken, loooong load times, unreliable pads. I could go on and on (with out the obnoxious use of emojis "lols" and "ahahahahhhahahahahs"), but the point is that there is a reason roland is number 1 and Alesis is a bargain brand

I think he's more referring to the Strike Zone kit, the cheaper of the two. There's the Strike Zone, which is roughly this price if not identical Then there's the Strike Pro, which is the price of the TD25KV. So, not saying you're wrong, I'm just informing you that there is another Strike kit
@razorpine7082
@razorpine7082 6 жыл бұрын
You for malt a few bullet points: -Strike has extremely long load times -Strike has one less crash cymbal than TD17KVX -Strike will likely break by next Tuesday, whereas TD17KVX will last years -Strike’s hi hat has many triggering issues -TD17KVX works well right out of the box, with little adjustments needed whereas Strike might not even work well after hours of adjustments
