Yes there is a record feature for this kit which allows you to instantly record any of your favourite beats.

This was from the main outputs L - R from the Roland TD-4 Brain, into the small mini jack input on a camera, you can get 2 x mono jack to mini jack cable and that will either go in the mic input on your camera or computer...
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
yes, one of the great features of the TD9 is you can customise any cymbals, change the sizes, and same with the drumsetc... if you are local to are store in Farlington, Portsmouth feel free to come by and try for yourself :)

Great demo and great playing! Thanks for the upload. I've been trying the decide whether to get the td4k or the td9k. With this demo, I think I'd be happy with the td4k.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
hey dude, to answer your question. there are two controls one for tuning and one for muffling, you it hit the drum selecting the one you want to tune/muffle and use the rotary knob to adjust the tuning. also you can add an 1x extra crash to the setup.

This kit is primarily based upon a 5 piece practice kit, I would say it was worth checking the TD9 or above out if you are mainly looking at extention options.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
No, but there is a kit preset on there with brush sounds. The pads are only triggers so really there like giant sensitive "play" buttons so it doesn't matter what you play them with. Obviously sticks would be the best method though ;)
@PMTVUK14 жыл бұрын
@dopeydogdrummer It's mad some think we sped this up !! Little do they know its a one take wonder at the end of the day, I told jack ( our drum guy, dopey dog) to get through the kits as youtube has a limit of 10 mins. Congrats Jack, I'll turn the flame machine off next time !!

As an average guitarist and a half decent bassist im really in awe of people that can bang that well. It really is harder than it looks.

I would say the TD4-KX with mesh toms will be the best new buy... great sounds, great feel... and all for under £1000.00

We recorded audio outs straight to out video camera, but be careful that the camera inputs don't overload. Else record them on a separate recorder and sync them up after. Also be careful the auto limiter on the camcorder doesn't compress and "pump" the audio too much like 8.11 onwards....
@PMTVUK13 жыл бұрын
@treesareourfriends01 Again, no sped up parts, automation or jackass used in this demo at all !! Our drum guy Jack is an awesome drummer and plays fast and accurate like a machine gun!! Thats what hours of practice ( that's why you get a V Drum kit , so you can play drums more ! ) does for you.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
There is a dedicated tuning button, just press tuning, then hit the drum you wish to tune, and by using the rotary knob on the right you can tune down (left) or up (right)...
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are dual triggers which allow rimshots, you can see from the video above. x

I recently got a used TD-3 ($400) and I love it... for a beginner. I could see, with a little practice, a TD-9 (minimum) is in my future.

@nopeace82114 жыл бұрын
yes, i have the same kit and you can make your own drum set and yes you can change the drum sound in the kit. I just got it like 3 days ago and i am very happy about it.

I would say that on paper there's only double the amount of kits, but the sounds from the TD9 are completely different. I also find the expression is better on the TD9. The easiest way to find out though is to A/B the two kits, that's when you can really here the difference.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
Yes you can change the sounds that are on the rim seperately from the normal head sound.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
yes, the snare trigger has a seperate rim trigger to give a realistic snare feel.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
Yes you can upgrade to the TD9 brain, and the VH-11 is also compatible with the TD9, just a case of plug and play.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
the only extention available on this kit is for an extra crash, but you can use a double bass drum pedal. :D
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
you can add any double pedal of your choice to the kit.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
You cannot stack kits, but you can individually manipulate each drum and cymbal. Thanks for commenting.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid there isn't like any drop clutch option, you would have to go into the individual pads and change the sounds manually but it is possible.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
When you are playing in headphones you can't hear any sound what so ever, all you are left with is the stick hit sound, and tapping of the bass drum. I would say the hi hat isn't a problem at all, almost silent. The easiest way to combat the noise transferring through the floor is to use a shaped piece of carpet to lay underneath the KD8 Kick pad.
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
Could do either, for serious DB drumming get a decent double pedal, for occasional use, just assign the foot hi hat pedal to a Bass Drum sound and hey presto, double bass drum...

the new cable -to- brain leads are all connected into one loom so you can't just split one of the cables because each jack is wired into a scart like connection
@PMTVUK15 жыл бұрын
yes you can, but you would have to use your original cables to hook it all up.

It's a GREAT kit. There was too much attention focused on the snare and the snare-dominated rhythm throughout this demo. It doesn't show the full, diverse potential of the TD-4.

Most drummers do that, play a solo when all we want to hear are the individual sounds, I normally turn it off out of frustration , like this one.

Oh cool! Was it just line out into the recording device or was it midi out, then using some sort of virtual instrument?
@doritowarrior15 жыл бұрын
It's actually very easy to add another cymbal, the jackplug for the third cymbal is already attached. The drumkit in total costed me 1214 euro's. That's without an extra cymbal and with a Pearl 902 double bass pedal. An extra cymbal will cost you about 100$ I think (cymbal + stand). So Td4+bass pedal+extra cymbal would be 1000+100+100= 1200 dollars
