You guys talk about how small the set can get, but how big can it get? I am just over 6'6"... So a small kit might be TOO small for me lol
@sweetwater Жыл бұрын
@@TheAbominationprime Hey, OhhGrr. Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately it doesn’t go much higher than in the video. I personally would not recommend it at your height. I think you’d be correct that this one is too small. I hope this helps. Jason Thiele, Senior Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1391, jason_thiele@sweetwater.com

Cue the comments complaining about the sound of these drums, despite the fact that Nick D'Virgilio is still able to play well, have fun, and make them work... perhaps it's a matter of talent, not sound
@IansDrumsandBass Жыл бұрын
99% of what we've just heard is unusable. Only the 1st kit was usable, the rest were just a noise with way too much reverb and no editing options. Some people just don't have a good ear and can't tell the difference between what sounds good and what sounds bad.

@@IansDrumsandBass maybe bcuz use EZDRUMMER and other vst that make those e-drums sound flawless?

Many people ask for too much but at the time when they hold the sicks isn't nothing like playing drums, pure sound quality looking but nothing about playing at least well...

@@IansDrumsandBasswhat exactly do you mean about only the first kit being useable? He went through each one on each set and all seemed functional!?!

It's crazy they can get sounds this good and Roland quality in kits at these price points.

It's a pity that there is no "BEL" sound on the ride cymbal, on the TD-!kv when you hit harder you had a "bel" sound, and now you need a cymbal with three zones...

More Roland modules filled with unusable sounds. The 1st kit was probably the best. I have the TD 1 KV and the module is terrible - I use my TD 11 with it - even the TD 11 out the box sounded trash. Whoever puts these kits together should be replaced.

If I am looking for a kit to use as a midi controller for virtual kits would you recommend this?
@IansDrumsandBass Жыл бұрын
@@thenameless5038 I would recommend an old Roland TD-6, a used Nu-x DM210, or a used Roland TD - 3. If you want silent pads then you must buy a kit with mesh pads. The DM210 is mesh and you can get the others with mesh sometimes. I've just bought an Alesis Nitro Max kit and it's awesome. All mesh. $400 in your country. I would stay away from the Alesis kits with rubber pads, also the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit goes for good money used, but the rims on the drums are very high, and you hit them quite a lot which can be frustrating. I'm not happy with the sensitivity on the Roland TD - 1 rubber pads. If noise isn't a problem then you could go for one of the kits I mentioned, as long as it has the Roland PD- 8/6 pads - not the PD - 5s they're too small. You didn't say what your budget is, so it's hard to tell. Another nice kit you can buy used is a Roland TD11KV, but I find that the older Roland kits don't map out as well, with MIDI as the Alesis /Nu-x do. Watch vdos and read up as much as you can so you have knowledge about what you're doing. Good luck feel free to question me if necessary.
