I’m using the P200 and got it years ago for about $399, in my opinion it does very well in a mix and plenty loud, I do not need blue tooth because the td17 has that built in. I also use the p200 for bass guitar
@nicolasreponse68075 күн бұрын
Can explain why the blue tooth would be useful? I'm new to drumming and just bought an EF Note 3 Style A. I'm looking for a small-size but quality sound amp to practice at home (I don't need to go loud...)

For the budget seekers the Behringer Eurosport 40 BT (40 W class D battery operated (or AC) with bluetooth, 2 independent xlrs/1/4" plus RCA's) do a pretty good job for their low price of just 209 bucks right now. It also doubles as a portable PA. No affiliate just a heads up :)

Thank you very much and really appreciating the pa/speaker comparison. I am interested in buying the EV ZLX 12p g2 one. I have a question if you could please share your knowledge. I own a Roland td07-dmk drum kit. Will I be able via the Bluetooth function to play songs through my phone using the EV and hearing both my drum playing and the song from my phone? Thank you kindly in advance!
@Edrumcenter3 ай бұрын
The TD-07 and the ZLX speaker both have Bluetooth so you can use either one for playing your music while playing along.

Hey, I have a question. I own a Roland TD17, is it appropriate to use other speakers of other brands apart from PM200 or PM100?
@EdrumcenterАй бұрын
Yes it's fine to use whatever you want brand-wise.

Looking for an amp to use for kick triggers only on an acoustic kit for live band practices (metal music) would the Alesis be a good option for this?

Good info... Have you done the same type of comparison with headphones? I'm a huge fan of the Audio Technica ATHM50X, but always open to 'better'. Cheers
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback Dennis! We have not done one for headphones yet. We have done comparisons for sure and those ATHM50X's are great! Someone else asked for an IEM video but we could do one for headphones in general.

Hi, can I use the boss street cube 2? Thinking of buying one second hand. Thanks
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
You could but not sure it would sound very good. For what they are asking for those used I'd just grab the Alesis Strike Amp 2 which is on special. One of the guys here has a Cube Street and they are good for vocals and guitar but not so good for drums or bass.

For my 2Box - TD11 ekit I use a JBL IRX 108 bt speaker it has a great full sound, loud, bluetooth and is light, along with the LogitechTHX Z623 (200W) computer speakers that add extra highs and extra deep lows from the subwoofer. I had the Yamaha DBR10 but prefer the JBL IRX 108 even sound and the bluetooth.

Is marshall mg10cf fit for e-drums? Just want to know
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
This is not only one of the worst choices you could make for sound but you will most likely blow up the Marshall. Guitar amps in general are not designed for drums.

Any comparison with the mackie thump 15'' ?
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
We don't have any plans to sell Mackie. We did a lot of research before we chose EV and feel they provide a better speaker product for the price at this time.

@@Edrumcenter thank you! No problem, I was just curious if you guys had ever compare it with others.

hey guys, have you tried to using the Mackie Thump 12 or 15?
@Edrumcenter3 ай бұрын
No we haven't. We don't sell Mackie. From a sound perspective we feel the Yamaha DBR line sounds better and is more reliable. The EV line sounds a LOT better.

Headrush FRFR112MK2, Simmons DA2112 and Alesis Strike Pro all appear to be "white label" products, same factory, rebadged. Fact is - edrums have massive dynamic range sample capabilities, especially in the kick samples, and none of the "e-drum" amps are purpose-designed for edrums - you need long x-max piston movement to push air around, really strong magnetic fields, and well designed 3-ways really help with clarity.

Hi, just happened upon this video and i enjoyed the co.parisons. I have a roland td-4 and a roland td-30. Ive always used my 30's when playing using IEMs with my band. But now im starting to gig in a duo with my guitar player and have to provide my own speaker, theres no mixer or IEMs. I have a simmons DA200S. TOO HEAVY for gigging. Would you recommend the EV or some kind of powered speaker??? Thanks!
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
The EV is nice and portable so yeah it would be a good choice. It only weighs 35 lbs.

That is great to know and thx for clarifying. also curious as to why you chose a PA speaker to use in your demo for electronic drum amps? Would that mean that one could use any other 12" or 15" powered speaker for an eDrum monitor? Im not sure I see where the difference is between an eDrum monitor and a standard monitor? cheers
@dbirds2116 күн бұрын
@@stevland8563 imho pa speakers powered or amped are better options than any drum amp. I STILL HVENT FOUND DECENT DRUP AMP, EXCEPT THE ROLAND 200 AND THE OLDER SIMMONS DA 200 IS VERY CHEST POUNDING BUT THE SOUND QUALITY NOT THAT GREAT. yOU CAN GET A USED DA 200 FOR 150 BUCKS AND IT HAS THE VOLUME.

You need a 3 way system to hear all the details of a electronic kit
@Edrumcenter4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! You can always add a sub to any of these at a later time to create a 3 way system.

That is not a 3 way system, that's a 2 way system with a sub. A good example is the krk rokit 10 or mackie 3 way with 1", 6", & 15"

R u guys kidding me. THe roland 200 is so good, best in itts class under 1000. Its heavier because its a better speaker with more girth. The sound from roland especially the kick is the best ive ever heard and its powerful. Those other ones sound like they are distorting at higher volumes.
