The fact that there isn’t a r/l output makes this not worth it, if you can’t plug it into an amp. I would upgrade the module if anyone gets this kit. The TD-17kvx is a great option.

i cant believe roland makes a beautiful acoustic looking kit that only has a headphone jack out!!!! unbelieveable... how do u play live with that?

Im wondering as well. I assume you have to connect it to a laptop and then connect the laptop somewhere. But its still bullsht that they didn't stop to think to make this a live kit as well for that price

You can use the extra tom's input for a crash, but I'm unsure how it would handle the two crash zones. You're better off sacrificing the ride's bell zone and then using that as a second crash. Oh, I know because I have the TD-07DMK kit, which has this module.

I'd buy this for the look and feel but it still has nothing on the sound you can get out of Superior Drummer 3 / EzDrummer 3 (from what I've heard of the demo's of the new software out next match). Good thing it has midi :)

So can’t you just hook it up with SP3 ? I know very little about programming and computers but since I live suburban I need to go this route and NEED SP3 or EZdrummer As I had a TD27KV but didn’t have a computer so was overly disappointed.

Why would someone go for this instead of the VAD306 or 307 ? The price gap isn't huge. If you wait a few weeks/months just save up and get the better version with a better module and extra tom and cymbal. And i believe they are a size bigger as well.

Can 6ou connect Bluetooth headphones to it?

No drum module allows to stream audio to headphones, due to Bluetooth latency. Currently, the tech to have a lightning fast audio connection thru Bluetooth is inexistant. You can, however, stream audio from your smartphone or tablet to the module.

That's not what Roland edrums are renowned for lol. They are known for reliability, low latency (and high prices ofcourse).
