I seen one for sale, but I wanted to do some research before getting one. I don't know why people are complaining about the workflow. This looked super simple

This is one of the few tutorials that doesn't assume I've been playing with these kinds of devices for ages already, and I feel a lot more like I can kinda get something moving on it now instead of just kinda poking at it and making it make noises. Thank you!

It’s funny how many people are griping about how difficult they think that mv-1 is, you’ve never used a drum machine before? It’s not complicated at all, all hardware requires a learning curve your not going to pick it up and instantly be a expert, learn your instrument, and you don’t need a damn big touchscreen to make beats, get that out of your heads, you make music with your ears not your eyes, great informative video by the way, love your enthusiasm

If you record with it on, you wont be able to change it, but you get the feelig you want right away. That has to be your choice.

Thanks for the overview man ! Regarding vocal tracks, can you really layer them or is it comping where you have only 1 track playing simultaneously ? Could we use it to record both vocals and an analog instruments and layer them at will ? A bit like clips on the Maschine+ ?

You want him to compare a music production unit to a controller? Well if that’s the case and I didn’t miss something here you go. A controller is just that a controller it doesn’t anything to make music you need a PC or a sampler or a music production unit to make the controller do anything because all it does is control other gear. The MV-1 makes music it has a synth engine that can make any sound you want. It has samples called drums kits to make drum tracks. It has the ability to record audio into it and make new sounds. And it can even record vocals. Their really is no comparison to a music production unit and a controller. This music production unit is $699 and does everything from making a beat to mastering a beat. The controller is for a nice one $200-$500 and it does nothing on it own you will need: a PC, Fl studio, Sounds, plug-ins, and more cost $1000 if you actually buy legit. So I hope that helps you out if I was wrong about this conversation Ahh disregard this and have a nice day. And that $1000 is on the super low end. I just remember and audio interface, cables to hook everything up together, Oh and this is a big one a pillow. Ya, so when your PC crashes to the blue screen of death you can save the neighbors ears as your cry and scream into it because you was making the hottest beat ever and you didn’t save and now your SOL because windows sucks and FL maxed out your cheap pc and now you feel like give up on music. Well, have a good one. Choose wisely my friend.

Do u feel this is simpler than Akai products?
@WarriorEsoteric3 ай бұрын
They are different approaches to beat making and recording, the Roland is more of a old school primitive approach but if you can grasp the workflow it’s a great machine, the akai offers a bigger touch screen and offers more tracks to work with, but 16 tracks on Roland is plenty for me personally, I don’t need 132 tracks, that’s redundant and unnecessary
