The Display Window Info' on mine is faded...does anyone know if this is because the Internal battery needs replacing ????

That wouldn't be the problem. The battery is not involved in powering the display. Displays have backlights that can burn out. Depending on the device's construction, you may be able to replace just the backlight, or you may need to replace the entire screen to have a working backlight. I'm not sure which it is with the XV-3080.

Im such a nob...I simply turned the Dial and everything became more clearer (Contrast)..Ive never owned one you see..Sorry and thanx for your reply!
