Yes this problem happens all over and around the world and it isn't only a racial thing. Humans are territorial animals. You never know what's going on next door and what is actually causing this terrible behavior. My personal opinion is that it's very much worth trying to deescalate the situation by SUBTLY shaming such behavior with benign kindness. My grandmother had a mixed race party in the 1950's which resulted in a neighbor burning a cross on her lawn. She knew who did it and baked him a cherry pie. He never bothered her again. Living in a constant state of war with neighbors will cause so much stress and then you may get sick. It's worth trying to be the bigger man/woman and teaching others how to act by example. A good neighbor is priceless. We CAN turn most enemies into friends or at lease noncombatants with kindness, humility and love, 9 out of 10 times. I have seen it happen over and over. People are crazy and afraid these days but they don't have to be. Just my personal thoughts.

Reporters only focus on getting the "juicy details" of a person's story, but they are never concerned about whether their questions will put an interviewee in harm's way or in greater danger than the person may already have experienced. BUT, we also must be very careful to not reveal certain information no matter what questions reporters ask, even to the point of telling them that "sorry, but I'm not at liberty to answer that" or "I'm not revealing details so I can protect myself and/or my family." I am so sorry that this nice, educated and calm woman was harassed like this, in her own yard. If the police won’t help her, maybe she can get the FBI involved and put these people on a watch list for “domestic terrorism”. I mean you can see that this was verbally and emotionally abusive, racially motivated by the name calling by the son, and exertion of white privilege and supremacy in the son’s and father’s mannerism and arrogance. Plus, the lack of protection provided by the officers, especially the officer that did not speak to her, yet he wrote the report. He must have had to quote some type of conversation that he had with the complainant (Miami his lady), right?? Can the ACLU or the NAACP get involved to provide her legal advice and her rights under the constitution. She is a citizen of the USA 🇺🇸 and the 14 Amendment protects her from harm, in this country. I hope she knows how amazing she didn’t under the circumstances!! When someone racially harasses you, it comes under the jurisdiction of “domestic terrorism” with the FBI, I hope she can utilize this type of help to protect from these vicious and unpredictable neighbors. I had something similar happened to me some years ago !!! I’m a Disabled Marine Corps Infantry Veteran, And I was seriously injured at a VA Hospital and was under intense medical therapy with Neurology,/ Pain Management and Internal Medicine and my so-called neighbors would get drunk and beat on my walls and call the Police saying that I was playing my music to loud and I listen to mostly Jazz, New Age,Delta Blues,Classical Music and R&B (Rarely with a Heavy Bass Line !!! ) They tore up my Patio Garden of Tomatoes, A Big Kumquat Tree , They called the Richland County Sheriff’s Department 3 times on me !!! The 4th time the Deputy got into their asses !!! And he told me he felt it was racially motivated and he was going to haul their asses to jail for making False Complaints and taking up their time and resources !!!
