Role of a merchandiser in garment manufacturing business

I am Ruhul Talukder, professional fashion collection creator and researcher. I help fashion companies to create market oriented trendy products aiming to grow business.
An apparel merchandiser has to interact with so many departments during merchandising his product. The merchandiser’s role is to oversee the order right from the time the order is received from the buyer till calculating the account profitability and shipment. A garments merchandiser in order to complete the order coordinates with buyer, various departments within the organisation, suppliers, and job worker’s logistics outside the company.
To put it in a few words the merchandiser analyses, plans, acquires handles and controls the entire order from start to finish.

As we all know, all roles in merchandiser department become a perfect merchandiser. well, I think the most important part is to done PPM and coordination with production department.

PPC - Production Planning & Control meeting ....one major point that divides complete merchadising responsibility into pre & post PPC meeting ...where at pre stage are all approvals before any order move into producing the goods and post where actual action comes into effect where one needs to make sure of materials inhousing with correct qty and make sure feed of bundles to lines are as per approved pp sample correctly hanging on each lines till it is inspected as per aql and shipped and BL Copy are sent to client ...and payments are wired..!!!!
