Lex, Thanks for introducing me to this guy. I am on my third time through the full interview. This guy is a top shelf intellect. Emotion comes from the mind. For feelings, you have 5 sensory organs to sense it. If you segregate intelligence...there are 3 different types: Intelligent Quotient (20%), Emotional Intelligence (80%), Spiritual Intelligence (beyond 3dimensions). In classical art, we represent it as rasa-bhava: rasa means an aesthetic form of intellect, to become. Bhava means a state of mind. Here I am interpreting nine main rasa: love, laughter, fury, compassion, disgust, horror, heroism, wonder and peace. This called nava-rasa. Emotions are everything to understand and connect the subjective and objective universes. In Hinduism, we worship this state of the art as "nava-durga"-- nine forms. We are performers in the state of consciousness or in the ocean of bliss. The more you know about 64arts, the more you aware about your performance and control over mind and your senses. From a different perspective, think about the "the girl before the mirror" painting of Pablo Picasso. Decoding Picasso, you would understand how much deviate from the original creative state of intelligence. What you see is the beauty of the self. What you feel is the awareness of yourself about the absolute self. Being human is the purpose of human life. #Being #Jupiter #truth #oneness #adore

Winning Solutions Adapted from Brent Cameron's Negotiation Strategy by Dianne and Marc Schevené Underlying presuppositions: That everyone (or part) has a positive intention, that the underlying ecology of individuals (parts) is optimized in win/win situations and that agreement is the basis of the relationship. 1. Identify a conflict situation or decision that needs to be made and establish yourself with others (or as your inner manager) as stepping into the role of facilitator. This is done by stating your interest in there being a mutually satisfying, mutually agreed upon solution that meets the needs of all parties. 2. Get agreement from the people (or parts of yourself) to participate in a win/win negotiation. If you are unable to get and keep this willingness then the possibility of a win/win solution is zero. 3. Thank the parts or people for their willingness to participate and get them to thank each other or express some kind of mutual appreciation and restate commitment. 4. Request that each side state in simple, clear and positive terms their point of view. Assure both sides that they do not have to agree with the other's point of view. 5. Ask the other side if they think they understand the point of view expressed. Ask them to state it in their own words. This is about accurate communication. As needed give each side the opportunity to clarify so that each side feels heard. 6. Now give each side the opportunity to express the underlying positive intention, what it is that they will achieve or preserve as a result. 7. Ask each side to thank the other for their statement of positive intention. 8. Remind both sides that they do not have to agree and ask if they are able to appreciate or accept the positive intentions of the other. 9. Ask each side to state 3 things they are willing to do to support their own positive intention. 10. Ask each side to thank the other for sharing their information. 11. Ask the side you think is most cooperative/flexible to suggest 3 things he/she would be willing to do to support the positive intention of the other. Stress this is willingness and not commitment. Get the other side to acknowledge each suggestion specifically and thank the other for the suggestions. 12. Do step 11 with the other side and listen for positive overlaps. 13. Ask both sides if they felt that there was any common ground or overlap in the suggestions and support creative discussion and further suggestions and ideas. 14. Acknowledge both for their participation and encourage them to thank each other and confirm that each side feels that the solution provides a win/win. 15. Note that creativity played a role in a solution that was not previously understood. Find opportunities to use this process in your relationships. Copy down the points and practice them carefully until they come naturally as a negotiation process.

Lex saying he doesn't show emotion on his face and in Russian culture this is the norm made me feel better because I too show very little emotion. The thing is, however, I'm Turkish and Turkish people show emotion and I've been asked many times why I look so serious all the time.
@EugeniaSergeeva
@EugeniaSergeeva Жыл бұрын
I'm russian who worked in Turkish company. It's all generalisation. There are plenty of "emotional" Russians as well as "unemotional" Turkish people. Russians are taught to be shy showing emotions, not like they don't have them or they're mostly negative.
@xyttra
@xyttra Жыл бұрын
@@EugeniaSergeeva Absolutely. What I was referring to is showing or not showing emotions. Everyone has emotions, it's a human thing that's hard wired, however different cultures have different norms about showing the emotion. And I think what ends up happening is, let's say people try not to show emotions, but then everyone starts to see more subtle emotions. So even if a population in general is not showing much emotion, there's still emotional communication because people read more subtle cues. Like in America you may have to see someone doing an angry face or start yelling to figure out they're angry, but in Russia people can realize someone is angry just by looking at their eyes. Btw I should also clarify, Turkish people are closer to Russian people on this issue than they're to Americans. And since Turkey experiences every season distinctly and has different regions where the climate is very different, people in different regions vary a lot about being more or less animated.
@EugeniaSergeeva

@@xyttra i agree on reading subtle cues) well in general, you just learn the base level and then notice deviations) but suppressing or hiding emotions is not a good thing either. It's funny how his computational view of the human mind relies on Math being the realm of objective truth relevant to our universe, the field of knowledge where we discover the deepest truths available to us. With this view you lose our explanation of why the class of computable functions is privileged in maths so as to be instantiated in the physical world, instead you are stuck claiming the computable functions have some other metaphysical privilege with mathematics that makes it so whatever is computing whole the universe must also make use of the computable functions only and not other maths to create the physical universe.
