I love my Yaughtmaster II very much. I gave my oldest son my original YM2 and in a short period of time was searching for another. It knawed in the back of my mind for 18mos before i pulled the trigger 2 weeks ago on the updated version. This one I’m keeping. I’ve given all 3 of my kids it seems 2 Rolex watches each bNo more 😂 I’m done gifting family. Thanks for your reviews Tim. I’m a retired Navy Warrant Bos’n. I know you served. Go Navy!...🕵🏼‍♀️

Nice video. I have the Yacht-master 2. It’s so different.. wouldn’t change it. Love the colours. Love the size. I wish they did a 44mm Daytona. Then, if I could, would buy as a second watch..

I totally agree. YM2 catches everyone’s attention due to it size and bright bezel but Daytona is a classic masterpiece that only watch fanatics can appreciate.

Totally agree. YM-II has everything that Rolex does best. Sporty yet classy look. A real mens watch at 44mm. Best color combination between dial and bezel. Out of the childish “hype” radar unlike the GMTs and Daytonas. Hands down the best Rolex of the sport series

Very fun, detailed and beautifully presented Tim. I laughed out loud a least twice - thanks for that. The "clown master" nickname was so unexpected and visually evident . Imho the YM is very beautiful, its also just emotionally uplifting in its tone ,coloration, purpose and historical association - with a uniqueness of purpose and design not seen elsewhere to this degree - it would be my choice. I know in a large part, this choice is secondary to the fact that the moon watch exists, and for guys my age who saw it going into space, has such overwhelming history, accomplishment, provenance, and honor associated with it, I would always want to wear this standard chronograph, on my wrist lightyears ahead of the technically superior, more valuable but historically much less significant Daytona . Not that I wouldn't like one - lol.

Tim, both watches are very nice, but the iconic Daytona is must have for any collector. It is a watch that can be worn in any situation or environment.

Had the Daytona and wasn’t impressed with its diminutive (unisex) size. It moved on in under a month. The YMII really interest me as my timing requirements are usually 10 minutes or less. Most newbies in the watch community won’t understand how impressive the YMII movement is. These newbies can buy the dime a dozen SS Subs. JK. The Daytona name is just as ridiculous as the YachMaster name as most Daytona owners won’t know how to use their bezel markers.

I do not own a YM2, but nonetheless, I agree with you 100%. I had an 11519LN and was unimpressed. i found it difficult to read and it felt too small despite the increased weight from the gold..

Great comparison.....while the YM2, or CM2 as you rib, is a beautiful and functionally rich piece, the Daytona is the winner for me in both looks and for daily wear.

Amazing review.... Love the daytona but have always felt its just a tad too small especially with all the timers on the watch. Feel that the size is much more suited for a simpler Patek.

Lovely. Nobody wants the yachmaster. Steel and gold on sale in window at my AD. Daytona? I was on a list for 3 years and never got one. I just bought a Tag Monaco historique limited edition and then also the steel band model of the same watch. 12000gbp that I would have gladly spent on a rolex if only any were available. I love watches and buying watches. I am back on the list for several others and probably never see those either. Losing patience fast with rolex. Next year I may not even bother looking to see what they are bringing out..... .

Nice quality watch. Would I spend Aussie $25,000 for a watch I can't swim in a pool with or God forbid take out on a yaught and fall into the water to ruin it. Give me a Blancpain diver. Better watch for a third of the price pre owned, or a Cartier diver or if we dare a UN diver for a quarter of the price. Nothing against Rolex It's terrific but the world doesn't just rotate around it only
