In this video, I will be comparing the latest Rolex GMT Master 2 reference 126710 BLNR and the discontinued Rolex GMT Master 2 reference 116710 BLNR.
I'll take you through the key four differences, give you my thoughts on how these watches wear, discuss pricing in 2020 and give some advice on buying these watches on the grey market for those of you considering it.

126710! Love the jubilee bracelet. 70 hr reserve for a GMT w date is convenient, and dresses up or down better w jubilee. Bought on grey market at Bob’s Watches - no issues. Great video thanks 😎

Awesome. Me and my wife were in Queenstown as well last year for our Honeymoon. We did the swing too. I also did the bungee, and Canon. I was rocking my Omega 300M 2018. No problems at all and took the swings well.

Do you think Rolex will up the size of the gmt2 jubilee bracelet model to match the submariner to 41mm , or has it had its changes with the new movement and bracelet plus thinner lugs ?

The pepsi colorway on the other hand.....a definite hit on the jubilee, in my book. Any possible plans for the Oris, Aquis in the near future??? I simply love the "Great Barrier Reef" model. I have a no date already. If I were to purchase another Rolex I would pick one that was completely different. As the Sub has a Sporty look, the oyster bracelet is fitting. The brushed steel manages the scratches and dings of an active lifestyle. The GMT was never intended for a rugged lifestyle. It’s a travel watch. It’s about comfort and legibility in First / Business class so a Dress bracelet like the Jubilee makes perfect sense. The only danger to a travel watch is picking up your lugged from a conveyer belt so a Oyster bracelet is not necessary. I also appreciate ALL GMT’s to share the same look with the jubilee.

The 126710BLNR is more advance. The case lugs are also tapered so it does not look boxy. Also, the new movement has a 70 hr power reserve.

Great video. I prefer the oyster bracelet. The jubilee reminds me of the DateJust model (my first Rolex in 1990) which suits it better. I have the GMT in both all gold and in all stainless steel, each with oyster bracelets. These bracelets suits the chunkiness of the sports watch better. Also being practical the jubilee bracelet collects dirt more easily with smaller links. Whichever you choose the watch is a great all round workhorse with very legible dial and hands, fantastic night time lume and of course the classic appeal of a Rolex which can be worn casually, for smart-wear and for business use.

In Colombia, the safety clasp did of my Submariner -Date not save my watch because after the thieves had slashed my ear with a switchblade, this tool knife was used to snap the bracelet and I never saw the watch again. In Kenya, I was strangled unconscious for a Polar Explorer II. Two gripping situations!

Honestly, the jubilee just "pops" in a way that the oyster never could. Honestly I'm of the view that the center links of the oyster should not have been polished. To each their own though! I also prefer the Pepsi, but nothing detracts from the batman/girl - I simply prefer the contrast of red and blue.
