The Deepsea is nothing like the submariner. The deepsea is a beast of a watch.Everyone's got a sub, how many people do you see with a Deepsea?..Really?

Great point! I've seen two guys wearing Deep Seas in person in the last 5 years. Both times the watch jumped out in a cool way and I had amazing conversations. Regarding the watch, I didn't particularly notice the size, it just had this strong subdued presence.

@@kevinkoberg4506 I agree, you can see pics of tiger woods, who just had pics made with a two tone sub, other ones....and they look Dainty compared 2 his Deepsea which he always wears. On another note, go 2 Enriva Dive watches....you will see 4 of them.....I just picked up one of these via Amazon.....I have worn a lot of Rolex, this Enriva 1000 m not leaving my wrist until I can get the 50 mm Titanium sea dweller.....the Bezel, the bezel action perhaps better than any watch ...you can read my comments as I just purchased it N e way, def get the big chunky divers U should also look At Steeldive 1964...I have that one also, which is a homage to deepsea...incredible timepieces!!

I have a DeepSea and a 116610 sub. I mostly wear the DeepSea so I think I will sell the sub and buy a GMT.

I got two vintage Submariners, and a 116660 Deep Sea, I wear them all. The Deep Sea is not too large for my wrist despite my wrist is 6 3/4, I guess it’s flat enough so it does not look stupid. Still I think the Deep Sea is best when worn in the summer with short sleeve shirts and t-shirts. I think most men can wear a Deep Sea, it just need a bit time getting used too it. I think size is not that important in a watch, personally I wear watches between 34-45mm, and feel comfortable with them all.

I owned the 116610LN Submariner and sold it..beautiful watch, but wanted something bulkier and different. Bought the SD43, beautiful watch, but wanted something bulkier and different. Bought the Deep Sea 126660 Black Dial and it's perfect! Like a tank wearing a tuxedo; tough, yet classy!!!! Rolex makes beautiful watches, so buy and wear the watch that's perfect for you! To each his own! Enjoy!

I have a 116610ln a sea dweller sd4k 116600 and a deep sea 116660 and I honestly haven’t worn the sub but maybe one time since getting the sea dwellers because I find it’s too thin now. I love thick watches so I feel like I’m wearing a tool watch.

Wearing comfort/ease of the deep sea is relative to the person wearing it. If you have 8.25” wrist it’s not the same as a 6.75” wrist, right?

I see so many submariners with chips in the bezel, chunks out of the case, my deep sea however I’ve had it hit off desks smacked off door frames and yet worn it down water park slides, diving in Dubai and it still looks like new. I don’t have big wrists either. I bought a root beer and sold it as it felt too fragile. I think my deep sea would outlive an atomic blast. Great watch, feels special- yes it’s big for a Rolex but compared to say Panerai it’s not. I love it- the beast that it is, the history and just how less common it is against a sub.

I have just bought a deepsea not new 2012 but I love it, all of Rolex expertise in one watch, I have a panerai also and love them both, plus cheaper than a sub

Rolex submariner is the watch of the watches, an icon. The Deepsea is too thick and has too much distance between the crystal and the dial. The proportions are not well made. Is like to compare Arnold (with perfect proportions) with Ronnie Coleman (huge but undue). Sorry but Sub is miles by ahead.
