The left one, when setting the hands the way you turn the crown is completely opposite from the genuine on the right. Genuine should spin with your thumb “scrolling” up and hands are moving clockwise. Fake has “scrolling” down but hands are moving clockwise. Would love to see a timegrapher comparing accuracy! I noticed 6 other flaws quite fast: 1. The Top Bezel - Triangle has a bent poor upper side. - 2. The 12 h - Triangle is plugged a very bit to the right. - 3. The last two Letters of PERPETUAL are thinner. - 4. The Cifers 10,40 and 50 at the Bezel have little Flaws / Points in- and outside. - 5. The ft -letters are not falling enough to the right side. - 6. The Date is not clearly centered and bigger. - Regards from Aachen, Germany.

On the first one, the laser cut crown at 6 o'clock is quite clearly visible. On any modern genuine model,you would be hard-pressed to see it with the naked eye and of course,the date number doesn't sit right either. However,it is a good rep and and a good video too!

Easiest telltale would be the gap between bracelet and case, which is smooth on the original and also they don't pay too much attention on the bracelet pins. Those two are easier to spot than the bezel and dial which is difficult if theres no genuine to compare

Great video, a few things though, I do not agree with your statement that it’s a “worthless fake” it’s not worthless, it’s a very good well priced copy of a ridiculous overpriced watch that could never justify into price in any way whatsoever. If anything what your video demonstrates is that these watches can be made for a few hundred pounds or dollars in your language and that really pushes home just how nonsensical Rolex are. Without the super-rich promoting and wearing this stuff the world over they could never ask such sums for pretty mundane basic watches. The big question is why would anybody with intelligence waste 10-20,000 USD or GBP on one of these when you can buy one that’s a cats whisker off the real thing for sensible normal and real pricing. Can you advise on the price of the replica please and where these can be bought. Good video though.

I guessed correctly, only because I was looking for the bezel pip & listening for the bezel action. Tim Mosso only recently started spinning diver bezels up against his mic, otherwise I wouldn't be sure. Your comparison will be the gold standard... for about 6 months. Literally tons of 904L steel arrive in Guangzhou monthly.

Bracelet gave it away for me. On the real one the bracelet seamlessly connects to the watch while on the fake you can see a little space on the side of where the bracelet connect to the watch. Also lume that was mentioned was a first noticer.

Just got back from turkey with a £180 deep sea dweller the blue one. Absolutely love it and my 14k saving can go to work for me elsewhere rather than on showing off with a real Rolex. Family comes first before plowing money in to big corporations for such a minute difference that it takes an expert to do a side by side comparison. The jeweller who took some links out for me offered to buy the watch I had to explain it was just a fake he was blown away and said they are getting scary good. Thank god I’m not the type who appreciates the art of a real good watch so I can wear a fake without feeling bad about it. Ps my pip is bright white still doesn’t look like yours, yellowed yet. Will see over time how it goes though.

I found the best way to tell is the underside and how well the end links and case fit, the real Rolex is so well engineered there are no gaps, the fakes however seem to have trouble getting this even close to right. Also the triangle around the pip is not unilateral.

You really got me with that joke in the reveal. Ahh I guessed right, the main give away for me was the dial markings on the rep were too blue-toned white and that the numbers and markers in the dial are thinner than they should be. I’m more familiar with the sea dweller 116600 but I’m glad to learn more about the deep sea 😊

Easiest way to see if it is a fake or the real Rolex is to take the back off. No one should ever buy without taking the back off, especially now as these high end copies are so good. Thanks for the thorough review. It would have been great to see a weigh off.. I'm not an expert by a long shot, but what I've noticed in all recent clone/replica comparison videos is the ball/globe on the second hand is slightly larger on the clone/replicas than the real thing. Which if they weren't side by side may be tough, but the "globe" of the second hand on a fake almost covers the entire crown emblem at the 12, whereas the real ROLEX just covers the bottom as it sweeps by. Small details, big differences. BUT Definitely scary!

I have a fool proof way to avoid a super fake: buy from a Rolex authorized dealer. Of course that means probably no steel professional model. The 126603 is no longer being flipped so it can be found at ADs...they don’t supply the brass knuckles.

Hello people can somebody educate me here on the ‘F’ next to the depth (12800ft). All the genuine pictures I’ve seen have a stretched F, in this video the watch on the right is the genuine one but the F is the same height as the rest of the font. The fake one actually looks more like the real F would. Is there a reason for the genuine one (right hand) to have an F that is not stretched out like they are on other deep seas that I’ve seen as well as submariners? Fake one the left has wider bracelet as current model. I do have both high end rep and genuine. The genuine with 904L steel has slight darker shade. Lettering are much more vivid on the real. I am so use to wearing the oyster bracelet I bought a high end rep for traveling . It’s been over a year and so far it’s holding up well .

I have a question? I have came across what I would call a true replica to the point it’s absolutely looked at as real. It’s not but I do enjoy wearing it. Here’s my question. Are all Rolex’s (quickset dates)? This one has fooled a lot of people however when approaching midnight it does not change instantly! It slowly rotates over to the next date. Really good video. The lime plots on the fake are off, too wide and a bit too tall. The pip on the bezel was off as you stated. There's also a gap between the bracelet and the lug, most visible at the top of the watch. The bezel sound is also completely wrong. But those things aside, that's a scary good fake.

You're glide lock appeared to drag on the replica. I could tell the bezel sound difference. The 5 in the date window appears off in the replica. I own a DSSD albeit the latest generation.

The giveaway for me was the clasp on the bracelet. I have a real submariner and a fake submariner. I bought the fake because I couldn’t even find one to try on in the store. So I wanted to see if I liked it before going on the search. Once I was able to get ahold of a new Submariner, there is a night and day difference. The edges on the Rolex are visually sharp but not physically sharp the edges of the fake are physically sharp.

I guessed correct. it was the quality of the text on the nitrogen alloy ring on the dial that made me guess correctly. It was a scary fake tho...holt smokes! J, can you feel a difference by turning the bezel and working the crown?
