I'm guessing all the clueless people here hating on Westwood were born in the late 90's/early 00's? Westwood is a don. 32+ Albums of the best rap songs year after year. Eminem was the only rapper I really knew after his 1999 release of the Slim Shady LP. Westwood is the one who basically introduced me to a wider range of rappers with his Radio One Rap Show, and that's where I 1st heard of Nas as him and Jay Z did verses/songs in succession live on his show, during their beef. Nate Dogg feat Jermaine Dupri's "Your woman has just been sighted (Ring the alarm)" is one song that sticks in my head too from those days. I remember it reached number 1 on the rap chart.

innit i totally agree. Note how from tempz to roll deep - westwood being in peoples videos means he's had a big involvement with the tune's production and often these will be the tunes that get artists known. Whether or not they contain their best lyrics is another matter. but bigup westwood for it

Westwood doesn't feel the need to take himself too seriously. People not in the know will probably think he's a knob, based on his voice or 'Pimp my ride'. That said, you'll struggle to find a Hip Hop artist over the water or in England, who doesn't have anything but respect for the man.

I've literally ONLY JUST REALIZED they aren't even there as in everything is being done in front of a green screen!! I think people forget how BIG Roll Deep crew were if only for a brief period in this country. Like yea Dizzee achieved a lot of commercial success with Boy in da Corner but I genuinely think that Roll Deep often get overlooked these days when it comes to where they able to take grime. I started going on nights out towards the fag end of garage and the birth of grime as a genre. Basically there's a night club in Cambridge called the Junction and they would put on UK urban'grime nights but they were 16+. So EVERYONE was getting ID'd but as long as you were 16 or over and had something on you to prove it then your in. It just makes me sad thinking about the old days because the Junction is still there but like the only real event they do these days is Warning which is a Drum and Bass thing. Like don't get me wrong I've been there a ton of times with my sister but stuff like Boogie Wonderland, Bada Bling, Method and even Dot Cotton were that venues heyday. But yea one by one they all stopped being a thing anymore and all I'm left with are memories of going to them.
