I'm not even a "runner"; I'm a huge football fan. But I'm a fan of Emma. Like a gazelle, she is "art in motion" when she's running. She has a mind of steel, yet she's compassionate and passionate. Her parents MUST be so proud of her. But even more important than even her accomplishments on the track is her compassion for others. I wish her and her husband, Joe, and family all the best.

First of all, thank Aric Van Halan for the great phone video at the beginning of this video. But all of us flatlanders dream about having the altitude training that Emma has built in from her very birth. She is so well-trained and methodical you almost know what the race will look like before it happens. One thing I remember clearly when she and Cort passed the leader and finished 1-2. The US had never won a medal in the steeple up to that point in Olympic or World Championship competition. They finished with Gold and Silver, America's first Steeple medals ever. So, scream and jump up and down all you want sis. She earned it!

This company makes some of the most professionally produced, yet still GENUINE, mini-sports documentaries I've ever seen. You would never know these are essentially paid, sponsor films because they don't really spend time hyping/pushing their product on camera... or like some companies, make their athletes read cringie scripts gushing about the advertiser. Heck, did they even show their product in this Emma Coburn film? In the 2-part OAC docu they briefly show it being used, but there's no dialog or discussion. Just shows athletes going about their daily routines & briefly using this unusual massage/muscle roller thingy I'd never seen before. It's all very understated & elegant, but the strategy works. It got me curious. Who/what is ROLL Recovery? What do they make? Is the product effective? So I went digging... ended up buying an R8 Plus since my calves, quads, and IT-band are always sore & stiff following my long runs.
