What an amazing recap! Thanks for taking us all back to that day. Rod’s run was really one for the ages and this video captures that battle beautifully!

This was incredible to watch live. I was 100% dialed into the coverage and inspired. Chills. Congratulations to the top finisher who made it so exciting and those golden hour finishes who also touched our hearts and minds. Incredible.

Wow pretty cool to watch that. I only wish they would have waited for at least the top 3 people to have come in and finished (since it was that close of a race and never happened like that before) BEFORE they started interviewing Walmsley. Since they then got interrupted anyway, it further shows they maybe should have waited to really see what was going to happen there at the end to respect the fast times these guys were putting in. But that's just me, I like it when places 1 - 3 are honored since there is more than just first place. I can't even imagine how proud they all must be. It was fun to hear how amazed the commentators were while it was going on too.

Gave it a thumbs up cuz i think the intent was genuine yet even if this offering is cool with copyrights that botched coverage of the most exciting ultra sprint between Rod and Hayden is inexcusable. At least dig for some spectators footage to mitigate the void? 🤷🏽‍♂🙏🏾

Never doubted Jim Walmsley’s VICTORY!🏆🥇- his training is indicative in his Mind and Legs like nothing anyone has ever seen😳. Rod Farvard: One cannot outperform one’s training on Race Day against the World’s best Ultra Trail athlete Jim Walmsley(You blowout or collapse as Rod did).

Great recap. One of the things I loved about this is the commentary in this video was unlike that of the actual event. I love D-BO and he is such a respectful commentary person but that girl that he is always with just interrupts all the time. It's like, when she has something to say she just says it. Doesn't matter if D-BO is speaking or in the middle of a thought. Drives me nuts and I almost can't watch it. this was great through as it didn't show too much of that. thanks!

I think Corrine Malcolm is a woman, not a girl.

That "girl" you are talking about is Corrine Malcolm. She is a professional ultra runner and easily as seasoned a caster as D-BO. They have been a team for forever. She interrupts him because D-BO tends to be long winded and goes on and on. Also she interrupts because he cant see or know everything that is going on. That is how a team works. If she waited "respectfully" till he was done speaking every time, the momentary changes in the race she needs to announce would be past already. Finally with the way you wrote "that girl", your misogyny is showing and has no place in this sport. People, women included, have names and deserve to have them used. Show everyone in this sport respect because they all deserve it! If you cant do that, we don't want you around our sport!!!

@@Twigjit this is no way to live your life bud and I urge you to take this hate out of your heart. Whoever hurt you, let it go and live your life. You somehow took what I wrote (my opinion on a commentator) and took it to a place of misogyny and I can’t be in this sport? Not every comment is so I’ll natured. I don’t know who that person is, I’m really sorry and if that makes me a bad person well I guess it does. But you cannot go form zero to 60 in hate like that over a KZbin comment. I can’t imagine your day to day. Just take a breath and understand not every comment is meant with hate behind it. Assume the best in people and watch how your life changes. You can’t change the world, but you can change the lenses you use to view it. Please….for your sake. Change your lense. That said thanks for the comment about Dbo being long winded. I hadn’t noticed that before but I will watch for it. If I miss gendered the other person, again apologies! That was not my intention. I wish you all the best. Take care!
