Thanks Nick. I look forward to take the sheet for a spin and kicking the tires. As always, your explanations are clear and concise. Much appreciated!.

Question -- why aren't the monsters that I've either made from scratch or dragged from the compendium to my game (previous to changing to the new sheet) changing to the 2024 NPC format? When I change them, it's showing a standard "Dungeons & Dragons- Your Adventure Begins Here!" sheet asking me what kind of character to make...
@NickOlivo3 ай бұрын
I think it depends on what sheet was used when the game was created. If you make a new game & choose the 2024 sheet, it should default to that for monsters & NPCs.

How do i set max hp when editing the sheet directly?
@parkerwatson42472 ай бұрын
Sadly the only way I have found to do it is go into the cogwheel where the hitpoint tab is then type what you want it to be into "Other Max HP Bonus" and save it. It feels so clunky and counter-intuitive I hope they make it easier

Are we able to make custom subclasses for this sheet?
@NickOlivo6 күн бұрын
Do you mean adding things to the compendium so you can drag and drop them onto the sheet? If so, no, I don't believe so.

Hey Nick! I'm having trouble adding the right resource to my “features and Traits” . It seems to allow me to add a Resource value, but not the type, such as “short rest or long rest” and it sets any abilities I add as short rest no matter what I try. I'm going to fall in love with you if you are able to help me out! thanks ahead of time.

I don't think that's available on the sheet just yet - but Roll20's been adding more functionality to the sheet regularly, so hopefully it'll be there soon. Happy gaming!

Greetings @nickolivo. I have a question, with the 2024 D&D character sheet, the new format on roll20, etc. I wonder if all the API scripts and such will still be applicable. I would appreciate a reply whenever you are able. Thank you.

Is this sheet using the new 2024 D&D rules?
@hawkname12344 ай бұрын
Yes. However, I noticed Nick picked a 3rd party Background that doesn't come with a starting Feat and the Charactermancer did not prompt him to pick a starting Feat. Clearly a lot of the logic has not been written yet.
@NickOlivo4 ай бұрын
Yes, but because the 2024 books haven't been released yet, it's using the 2014 sources.

Greetings @nickolivo. I am a ttrpg enthusist and player, I have enjoyed all your videos and explainations. I would like your opinion, should I buy all the content directly from d&d beyond or buy them from roll 20?. I am torn because both have their improvements and uses. I would appreciate a reply whenever you are able. Thank you.

Hi there! I’m glad the vids have been helpful! To your question - honestly, it depends on how you plan to use the material. If you’re going to run the majority of your games on Roll20, then having the materials there are a big time saver. But if you don’t run much on Roll20, then you may be better off having them in another source/format.
@David_Gallaher4 ай бұрын
I encourage you to buy the material from Roll20 which is a largely system agnostic platform
@danielnicolas62564 ай бұрын
@@David_Gallaher sure but what if I play or buy more than just D&D, what if it's pathfinder or others. I don't want to run out of space or fill up my content too fast. Because I think it's like what 10GB of space?
