Hey Cody! Good to see you in 2017! I'm sitting here laughing because I didn't even think of locking my character sheet in. And I've done it before! ahahahh! And, I've had a convo with Shaped sheet creator, and he says he's never gonna stop tinkering with the sheet, so this tip is VERY COOL! The macro tip is really gonna help me too. Keep up the good work! Oh, and one day.. I want to go thru your journal tab and what you have created and such for more ideas! Tho, not done entering Strahd, the DMG, or OotA yet... So who am I to expand.. LOL.. but I had to take a break from it for a bit.. LOL. Have a good one man!

A couple additions: You need to be able to select the token to do the double click trick (so players will be able to do this but only with tokens they control), you need Pro level subscription for custom sheets.

Another tip if anyone is curious: holding down shift and double-clicking opens up the bio, but holding down alt and double clicking will open directly to the character sheet.

OMG thank you for the lock down sheet tutorial! I really can't thank you enough man. Out of curiosity which sheet do you prefer to use for your 5E campaigns? I'm still running the 5th ed shaped, legacy sheet by Lenser, but I'd really like to use something that works with the compendium so players don't have to type in spell info. Only none of the compendium compatible sheets I've tried seem very good.

I was all 5e OGL. Moved to Shaped.... had conversion issues night after night, sheet author wouldn't stop breaking my macros... went back to OGL. I'm exclusively OGL now.

You failed to mention custom sheets are only available to Pro subscribers. Is it even worth it for plus users to create lots of monsters and characters if the updates keep "breaking" the macros?

Where did you get that sweet 5e-style NPC/Monster template? It doesn't look like the default 5e NPC style--it has the parchment-colored background and tapered lines, it looks like a screenshot but you have active links in it so I know it's a template. Can you link it?

Cody, how about a show on the best browser to use with roll20? You can also go over optimal browser settings. For example, in chrome you should run roll20 in incognito because that mode disables all chrome extensions, some of which may interfere with roll20.. The roll20 wiki discusses this here: wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues

I invite players to my game but went they get into the roll20 game they can't see the map I made and they can make there own maps. What do i do to fix that?

How would you stack (nest) macros for the character sheet? I can get it as far showing the template but when the input value shows up it does not roll anything.

Guy, I feel like this is a hard question to answer as it kind of seems like you might have missed something from the video. I suggest rewatching the tutorial and trying again. Also, I want to remind you that once you set a wrapper macro, DO NOT EDIT IT. Do all of your editing in notepad and copy/paste everytime.

I was following your guide to create the menu macro, that shows a bunch of buttons, and that activates other macros. However, you need to know the macro names However, the game i'm playing on has a custom sheet. You showed how to find the macro code, but is there a way to find the macro name, so i can plug it into my menu macro?

Maybe a little late, but what if: You just create a new macro by copying the macrotext and then you can set a name as you wish to use in your nesting macro.

Is it possible to transfer a Custom Character Sheet to an Existing Campaign or do you have to go through this process for each campaign you create?

Honestly? I'm not sure. I have never tried. But I think I have to re set my character sheets when I copy a game so I THINK the answer is no. Again, not 100%.
