Roller derby - Jammer Tricks with Miracle Whips: The Mohawk Skip

This is a technique that can be used to pursue in a straight line at high speed after you mohawked around an opponent. The extra step gives you a bit more distance from the blocker you just passed, which you can then use to fall back towards the "safe zone", the middle of the track, in front of them. Who doesn't like a safe pack exit?!

This is really helpful, thanks for posting! I just wanted to give you a quick tip that might help your video quality. At times when you're moving pretty quickly in the video you can see these horizontal lines (it's especially noticeable the first time you demonstrate the move), this is called interlaced video. To prevent that from happening, make sure that when you edit your sequence settings and export settings match the frame rate that you recorded the video at :)

Do you find that when you skip you raise your center of gravity and exposing yourself to being hit on that skip?
